I realized that I have been writing and reviewing a lot about lip products. Isn’t it???
Adding to the series, here is a Do It Yourself lip mask. Just like face mask, I’m gonna tell you how to prepare a lip mask which has been tried and tested by me.
It is believed that plump lips are sign of good health and beauty. Most of the people even under go knife to get those perfect plumper lips. But unfortunately, not all the surgical results are positive. Most of them end up getting allergic infections and reactions. All thanks to the fillers used or the surgical procedure.
Good news is, we do have some natural remedies to get healthy lips. Even though the results are not that long lasting, it’s always better to be natural than to take so many risks. Right???
So, let’s start with this easy breezy lip mask. What we need, how to prepare, how to use… Etc…
Ingredients and benefits :
- Coconut oil
For adding moisture to lips and also for soothing effect.
- Cinnamon powder
Cinnamon gives tingling effect when applied on lips. This results in blood circulation in lips. Thus making lips plumper. Also, cinnamon helps in lightning lips.
- Cinnamon oil
This is most concentrated form of cinnamon. If you want mild one, skip this.
- Peppermint Oil
This is key ingredient in most of the lip products. It gives cooling and soothing effects. Also works best on cracked lips.
How to Prepare :
Simple. Mix one spoon of each ingredient. You can add more coconut oil if you want to. Store the mask and use it whenever you want to.
How to use:
Apply it on lips for few minutes. Either scrub it off or wash with water.
- Cinnamon does cause tingling effect. This is how mask works. If you can’t tolerate that, wash your lips immediately.
- Adding cinnamon oil makes the mask more effective and more concentrated which makes more tingling effect. So absolutely up to you to decide whether to add it or no.
- Don’t forget to apply a good moisturizer post removing mask.
- The effectiveness depends on individual. For some results might be quick for some it might not. For some it might last longer, for some it won’t.
Do try the mask to get those Kylie Jenner lips. 😉💋
