Hey You,
Its almost a Friyay…!!!
Adding one more page to my Nail care book, here is the new post.
You might have checked pictures of my nails in the previous posts on nail paints. I have currently long nails. I am moody when it comes to length of nails. I sometimes tend to cut them and keep it shorter and neater. Some times grow them like a vampire. #haha
But irrespective of the length, one thing I take care is the health of the nails. I make sure they get time to breath and also the hygiene they need. Because brittle / yellow / stained nails look really bad. Don’t you think so??? huun??
Today I am gonna write a short post about my tried and tested nail care tips.
Read on to know how to take care of those beautiful nails of yours.
Toothpaste:
Yes. I apply toothpaste on my nails. Leave it for 5-10 minutes. Clean it with water. This makes nails whiter and brighter. #tada
Lemon Juice:
As I have mentioned in the post about beauty benefits of lemon, it is a bleaching agent. Dip nails in lemon juice for 5-10 minutes daily. Till you achieve the goal of making nails nicer.
Baking Soda:
Just like lemon, this is whitening agent. Apply the paste made of baking soda and water on nails. Wash it after 5-10 minutes.
Hydrogen peroxide:
This is my favorite for cleaning my nails. Drop few drops of hydrogen peroxide solution on nails. You can see the dirt coming out of your nail #ewww and best part is it cleanses your nail instantly. Make it super clean and shiny.
Base coat:
Applying a base coat is a must before nail paint. Base coat acts as a protection layer and protects from chemicals which are there in nail paints.
Buff the nails:
With nail buffer, buff the nails to get instant white nails. I always carry a nail buffer in my purse. For that quick fix. Just to avoid breaking nails. Whenever there is a little crack in the nail, i fix it with nail buffer. I am sure many of you can relate to the pain when ‘ Nail breaks’. More painful than a heart break. #GirlsProblems
White pencil:
Take a white pencil and paint underneath of each nail. I had bought a pencil from the body shop too. But this didn’t work for me. Give a try for this method and let me know if it works for you.
Good Quality Nail Paints:
Always apply good quality nail paint ONLY. the cheap ones have harsh chemicals which will do more bad than good to your nails.
Let them Breath:
I make sure I don’t wear nail paint for 1-2 days at least before applying next nail color. They need some break too right???
So these are my methods to keep nails clean and healthy.
PS: A special note to a special reader of mine. If you find your nails yellow. I would suggest you to consult a doctor. Nails predict a lot about our health. It might be a health issue. So take it seriously…!!!
I hope you find these tips useful.
Have happy nails…!!!!
