How to Prepare Kajal or Kohl at Home

Hey,

I had a busy week… I shifted to new place… Busy decorating my home… I will share some home decorating ideas soon on mygirlypedia…

You know I’m passionate about cosmetics and makeup, ummm in short all girly stuff in the world… I at least apply a stroke of Kajal before stepping out of home. Reread at least…

So being an eye makeup lover,I love that smoky look. Most of us do… But I have also seen gals who are allergic to kajal which we get in market. Their eyes get irritated and they are left with teary eyes after applying kajal. So this post is especially for those delicate eyed beauties.

Today, I will share tips to prepare couple of kajal or kohl of your own at home. Sounds interesting… Right??? And guess what, it’s super safe and pocket friendly… Shall we start???

Castor oil Kohl:

Things you need:

Castor oil

Diya

Metal Plate

Two metal boxes

A tiny container to store kohl

How to prepare :

  • Place two metal boxes upside down. These will act as a support for the metal plate.
  • Place metal plate on these boxes as shown below.

  • Fill diya with Castor oil and light the diya and keep it below the plate.
  • As the diya burns, the ash layer gets formed in the plate.

  • Once the diya turns off, carefully take the hot plate.
  • Remove the ash layer and mix a spoon of ghee to form the paste.

  • This is a pure kohl. Store the kohl in a container and use whenever you want to… #wink

Almond khol

Things required :

Almond (of course)

Needle

Matchbox

Metal plate

Two metal boxes

Container to store the kohl.

How to prepare :

  • Like previously mentioned, place metal plate on two metal boxes for support.
  • Pin the needle in the almond.
  • Using matchbox, light the almond.
  • Almond has natural oils in it which helps in burning.
  • Keep in below the metal plate so that ash gets trapped in plate.

  • Once done, collect the ash from plate and mix ghee to prepare kohl.
  • Store it in container to use it whenever required.

Hope you found this useful.

Do prepare it and enjoy safe, irritation free, cooling effect kohl…!!!
