To take care of dry lips, I will post a separate short post with all natural remedies. Mean while, let me review this lip balm of mine, which I has joined my lip care army recently.
I am more like ‘berry person’ when it comes to lip balms. Usually I end up buying strawberry lip balms. This time thought of trying something different. Picked up rose one. I personally don’t like fragrance of rose. (Yes we do exist) Let’s see whether this lip balm has made a permanent place in my handbag or it’s already out…!!!
Velvety Rose (Oops not just a Rose)
145 INR (You can buy it from any local drug store or from here.)
I loved the color of it. Its a light peach.
Color pay off:
Its not really a tinted lip balm. So, it doesn’t really add any color to your lips.
Very faint smell of rose. (Thank God)
It looks kind of cute and girly with that soft rose cartoon on it. Isn’t it??
Packing is a plus point, as its a bullet one – which makes it travel friendly and most importantly, hygienic. Not a tub one like this lip balm.
Texture is light. It’s not sticky either.
I was worried about the fragrance part to be frank. I even getting headache because of the Rose smell, oops fragrance. But, this lip balm has a very mild smell of it. I liked.
I have dry lips I must confess. I usually use this lip scrub to get a softer lips before applying a lipstick. But this lip therapy is actually working for me more than what I had expected. Which is not the case with most of the lip balms with me.
I can’t say that it is healing my dry flaked lips totally. But, it is working much better than most of the lip balms or I can say ‘expensive’ lip balms I have used.
You know what’s the bonus is – It has SPF 15. Thus ideal for day time wear.
It’s not doing anything much for the pigmentation.
Will I repurchase???
Yes. Definitely. Why not if I am getting much better deal in this affordable price. #wink
Will I recommend???
Yes. You should give it a try. I am sure you will love the pick.
