Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss in Shade Great Coral-ation Review

Hello,

Me and my never ending lipstick collection…!!!

I know… I know… I have told you that I won’t buy anymore lipstick or glosses…. But, it’s me…!!! I can’t stop myself from trying out different lipsticks and glosses…!!!

Hey, Plus I have a valid reason to shop. I am a Nykaa Prive member. Wanna know the advantages of being that??? Check out the story here.

Since glitters and sparkles are my current favorites, I have fall in love with glosses all over again. Adding to my lip gloss collection – here is the new bee to my box. A beautiful gloss from the brand – Wet n Wild.

Let us know whether I am going to recommend this to you or not.

Brand:

Wet n Wild

Gloss Name :

Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss

Cruelty Free???

Yes. A happy bunny on a product makes me happy. None of our furry friends were hurt for making this product.

Price:

250 INR for 5.4 g

Shelf Life:

3 Years

Shades Available:

There are 6 girly shades available.

  • Sweet Glaze (Baby Pink)
  • My Cherry Amour (Blood Red)
  • Great Coral-ation (Peach)
  • Sinless (Lightest shade of Pink)
  • Crushed Grapes (Dark Pink)
  • Cherish (Light Orange)

The Shade I picked:

Great Coral-ation

Packing:

It comes in a plastic tube. The color combination is cute and girly. The cap is black, tube is peach and there is a white strip to separate these two colors. Honestly, it do reminds me of some school uniform color combo.

Plus points about the packing are – apart from being a travel friendly packing, it also helps in differentiating the shade. The tube color is been colored similar to that of the gloss inside it. Thus, if you purchase all the shades, you don’t have to pick the shade after checking the gloss inside it. You can differentiate just by looking at the lip-gloss tube.

Applicator:

Its a typical sponge applicator. Its soft and edgy. Makes application easier.

Fragrance:

It smells like a candy. But nothing like any fancy sweet candy.

Texture:

Its creamy. Gloss is neither sticky nor heavy.

Color Payoff:

Honestly, it doesn’t really looks like a peach gloss on my lips. Let me just remind you my lips are bit pigmented.

If you are looking for a proper peach lipgloss, na this is not the one for you.

But yes, if your expectations regarding color pay off is less, this will turn out to be a good lip gloss.

This adds a hint of peach color to your lips along with nice shine. It did look nice. The best part about the lip gloss I can say is it’s moisturizing quality. It did not dry out my lips. In fact it did hydrate them.

So, as company also says – I used this with some of my lipsticks which I don’t find hydrating. Just apply a layer of your favorite lipstick shade. Over it, apply this gloss. It looks amazing anddd keeps your lips moisturised.

Is It Transfer Proof???

No. In fact if it is any gloss, there is high chance that they do transfer.

Staying Power:

It stays on lips for 3 to 4 hours without food. But with food the glossiness disappears. A very mild tint remains on lips.

Pros of Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss:

  • Affordable.
  • Six variety of shades to chose from.
  • Travel friendly packing.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Adds nice shine to lips.
  • Good quality applicator.
  • Doesn’t feel heavy on lips.

Cons of Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Lip Gloss:

  • Not Transfer proof.
  • Color pay off is not that great. Which is con for pigmented lips.
  • Staying power could have been more.

Will I Repurchase???

Ummm No, not the same shade. I would like to try different shades in this range. Loved the idea of using it with lipsticks to create a moisturized, shiny look. Its a good deal for the price we are paying after all.

Will I Recommend???

If you have pigmented lips, looking for a gloss – skip it. If you are looking for moisturizing lip gloss and full coverage is not your concern, go for it.
