If You Are Looking For Affordable and Waterproof Mascara, This One Is For You

Hello,

They say eyes are windows to your soul. Eyelashes have huge part to play when it comes to enhancing the beauty of your eyes.

Who doesn’t love those long, thick, curled and picture perfect(read it as selfie perfect) lashes??? We all do right??? Oh yes we do.

Mascara is that one product that is used to define the eye lashes. There are multiple types of mascaras available in the market, which serve multiple purposes. Like for eg, curling the lashes, lengthening, to make them look thick, to add volume etc etc.

I have tried many mascaras from different brands (needless to say. You guys already know how Shopaholic I am). I recently picked this one little cutie from a drug store nearby, as a part of my ‘random shopping'(you are familiar with this habit of mine if you are a follower of my blog). I loved it so much that I just thought of sharing my experience with you guys, so that you don’t miss this one.

Let’s get to know this cutie more.

Brand:

Maybelline New York

Product Name:

The Falsies. Volum’ Express.

Shade Number:

291 Very Black

Price:

500 INR for 7.5 ml (Buy here)

Shelf Life:

2.5 years

What Company Claims:

  • Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of more lashes.
  • Patented spoon brush and kera-fiber formula instantly build 8x more volume without clumping to complete the glam lash look.
  • Opthalmologist tested.
  • Contact lens safe.

Packing:

The outer cartoon has all the details of the product. Sorry it’s torn as I forgot to click some pictures before using. I was excited to use this. Hehe.
This comes in a typical mascara packing. The sturdy plastic tube is tiny enough to carry it in your handbag. This makes it a travel friendly product.

Plus, the color is something I like. The ring kind of thing that separates the cap and the tub makes it little more cuter. 😊

Wand:

As written on the outer cartoon, it’s a spoon brush. It’s slightly bent. Which is supposed to give that lift effect the company is claiming about.

The thin bristles defines the eyelashes once the mascara is applied.

Fragrance:

It has this smell of new shoes or something (yep I’m not lying). But you hardly smell it unless and until you bring the mascara wand nearer to your nose, instead of eyes hehe.

Waterproof:

Yep it is. This is one thing I loved the most about this product. The mascaras I have used earlier use to get clumped and smudged. This used to stop me from using them. But this one never smudged. Happy dance

My take On The Falsies Mascara:

The sales girl at the drug store advertised about this product saying -” ma’am, it will give you those false eyelashes look”. I know it’s her job to flatter her customers with the ‘extra admirations’ of the products. Hehe. But after using so many products, I know how these things work. I bought this just to try this out.

But for my goodness, it worked for me. Even though it doesn’t really give you a false eyelashes look, it did defined my eyelashes well.

This smudge proof and waterproof mascara never gets smudged with water. You need a good cleanser to remove it.

About the lift thing,it doesn’t really give you that lift or curled effect. Need to use curler.

What I Liked:

  • It didn’t smudge.
  • Defines my eyelashes. Makes them look long and beautiful.
  • Travel friendly packing.
  • Affordable.
  • Availability is not an issue.

What I Didn’t Like:

  • Didn’t really give that lift effect. Need to use eyelash curler.
  • If you have really sensitive nose, the smell might bother you while applying the mascara. But it faints quickly.
  • Ingredients not mentioned.
  • Doesnt gets cleaned with just water. Need to invest on good cleanser.

Will I repurchase???

Yes. 😊

Will I suggest this to you???

Yes. For those natural look, without getting flakes, plus waterproof mascara. Definitely yes.
