It is called as an art not just because it involves a creative mind, it has a story of it’s own. 🙂
Art and artist, both should always be appreciated. Because they have this power to express so much just by their art. Some hang their art like painters, some eat or serve their art like chefs, some sing, some dance… Ahh the list goes on. But some wear their arts, they are the ones with this wonderful art called body art.
I am born and brought up in a small town. I am saying this explicitly because, most of you know the point of view of most of the small town people. Where these body arts are often consider as sign of ‘bad personality’. (except for the tattoo of God. Piercing ears and nose are considered as a ‘good sign’ as they are ‘mandatory’ to get ‘good’ husband..!!!) But since I was a kid, I always had dreamt of getting a permanent tattoo on my body. All thanks to the temporary tattoo we used to get along with chocolates we used to buy.
Body arts as I said hold their own meaning or a whole story. You guys might be surprised to know them.
But over the years, with three tattoos of mine and meeting fellow tattoo lovers, I have made out these common things we share. We as in the ones who own these arts.
1. We are committed.
Because tattoo is something which will be with us forever. We have chosen to get tattooed in spite knowing that it’s a life time commitment.
2. We know what we want
When you are giving a life time commitment, we do know what we are signing for. We are clear about what we want.
3. We are creative
We are creative in our own ways. We have the creativity to hide a lot many stories in one single art.
4. Needless to say tattoos represent how strong we are
Process of getting a tattoo is not a cake walk. It has some amount of pain to tolerate, lots of care to take.
5. We know how to appreciate our beauty
Tattoo may or may not go with all kind of attire. But we know how to own the look while flaunting our tattoos.
We are not bad people (we don’t waste Time proving that either). Because we are busy loving our own life while flaunting these beautiful pieces of art. 🙂
