The Face Shop Mango Seed Silk Moisturizing Deep Toner : Review and Swatch

The brand The Face Shop has become quite popular these days, especially with their sheet masks. Most of the vloggers have been promoting this brand. By the influence of one of my favorite vloggers, I happened to try their sheet mask and it turned out to be pretty good for my skin.

While hiding my face with my palms, I am confessing this – I fall under the category of those people, who fall for the advertisements. I mean I don’t believe all the advertisements I come across, but yes most of them. So, needless to say, not all of them work for me. This in turn has helped me to get rid of this obsession of buying everything I see. Let’s see whether this buy of mine has worked for me or not.

Before I start, two points to share with you:

Firstly, it is NOT a sponsored post. It’s an honest review.

Secondly, if you want to know more about toner in general, check this post of mine.

This toner is from their recently launched Mango Seed range. They have many variants in this range, starting from Eye cream to night cream. I opted for trying out toner from the range first. So here it is my take on The Face Shop Mango Seed Silk Moisturizing Deep Toner.

Price: 1890 for 165 ml.  (I bought it while there is a sale on Nykaa. Got it for half the original price. )

The pump nozzle is just perfect to take out the required product. Plus, maintaining hygiene. The nozzle has a sturdy plastic removable cap over it. This makes it easier to carry while you travel. The cap fits tight enough thus making sure that there are no worries of spillage.

The semi transparency of bottle makes it easy for you to keep check on the remaining quantity left inside the bottle.

Fragrance:

If you are imagining the fragrance anything related to mangoes, hold your horses. Because, it no where smells like mangoes.

But it has very refreshing and soothing fragrance. It is neither empowering nor faint.  It fades away once you apply.

Consistency:

It is quite runny but not so watery.  Consistency is between watery and a lotion I can say.

But it is neither oily nor greasy. Once you apply, it adds moisture without making skin looking shiny.

Moisturizing?

Hell yes. I mean I have used toners from different brands. But it does its job of cleansing your face and adds lot of moisture. Even though I have combination skin, I don’t feel the need of moisturizer after using it. So this is a perfect fit for the ladies with dry skin. This adds extra moisture that your skin will be thankful for.

You can see the difference in the pictures itself. My hand looks quite dry in the first picture. Post spreading the toner over it, it looks better.

Things I Liked:

  • Leaves skin clean and moisturized.
  • Did not cause any irritation or breakouts.
  • I like the fragrance.
  • Travel friendly packing.

Cons:

  • Bit pricey for a toner. But little quantity goes long way.
  • Product contains no additives.
  • Company claims the radiance, but I didn’t find any radiance as such on my skin.

Will I Repurchase?

I guess yes. This is moisturizing and does its primary job quite well. But only when there is a sale going on. Haha.

Will I suggest this to my beautiful reader?

Yes if you have dry or combination skin. This adds so much moisture that you will thank me for the suggestion. Look for the offers. Nykaa or even Amazon usually has some or the other offers going on, on The Face Shop products.
