OOTD | How to Style A Black Crop Top In 5 Different Ways

Hi Girlies,

Dressing up or looking all dolled up makes me feel good. It makes me happy. That is why dress up game is my favourite. Yours?

So, I have made this post to show you a glimpse of dress up game I played today. ☺️

I styled this full sleeves crop top in five different ways. Colour of the top? You know how much I love the colour black. If you hadn’t, well, you know now. 😉

I bought this crop top from Myntra.  Some bottoms are bought from online store and some offline. Hehe.

Let’s get started with the looks.!

  •  Boy friend jeans:

These are oversized jeans. I must say, they are too comfortable. I love wearing them especially on those days when I am feeling lazy to dress up but still want to look good. Haha we all have such days once in a while. True?

I usually keep accessories minimal or no accessory for such looks.

  • Palazzo:

I know I talk about this piece of cloth in most of my outfit posts. I just can’t help it. They are so comfortable and stylish that I love them a lot.

I had created a similar look with the same palazzo but a long top. Do you remember that post?

Well, this is a look inspired by that one. But crop top looks more cooler. Know?

I wore these big white earrings to add more girly touch. 😌

I know this palazzo looks like a long skirt. Here is a pose to prove that it’s not a skirt. 😁

  • Monochrome:

Styling with single coloured outfit makes it a monochrome look.

Paired the same top with my favourite pair of black, stretchable, high waisted jeans.

Wore hoop earrings and kept the neck minimal. I personally like skipping neck accessory whenever I am wearing boat neck tops. Minimal the better for such pattern.

Also, included this silver, multilayered waist chain to add a pinch of spark to this monochrome look.

  • Skirt:

A favourite and comfortable piece of fabric loved by many – skirt.

Wore this striped pencil skirt along with the black crop top.

Chick look, perfect for brunch dates.

  • A touch of ethnicity:

Tried something new. Styled the same top with palazzo and twist to the look is the dupatta.!!

Draped the dupatta around to get a look of half sari. Added nice silver earrings and finger ring to increase ethnic look score. Plus, the bindi 😛

Tried with two different dupattas. I like the red one more. What about you? 😀

So, these are the looks I created with keeping the top as a common piece of fabric across all looks.

I hope you enjoyed the looks as much as I did creating them. 🤗

OOTD : Girl In The Man Made City

Hello,

Have you guys watched this super girly web series called ‘Girl In the City’??? It’s fashionable, inspiring, entreating, touching. Has all the flavors. If you have not.. Do watch.  Yesterday I had been to this artificial man made city. So the name for this post came to my mind in reference to my favorite series.

They say, Every day is a fashion show, the world is your runway…!!! This is the outfit I wore for today’s dress up game.

Skirts are those stylish piece of fabrics, which never go out of Vogue. Couple of months ago I had bought this skirt from my favorite online shop – Myntra. Which I chose to wear today for a quick picnic to Lavasa, the man made City.

Lavasa is a beautifully city which is built based on Italian town called Portofino. The colorful buildings, the lake, pavement, bridges everything looks so dreamy.

Since it’s summer, water level was bit less than usual. But the pleasant environment made sure to compensate for that.

What made the picnic perfect was the company of my best buddy. A girl is happier when her buddy never gets tired of clicking her pictures. right??? hehe. Well, you can see these pictures and guess the amount of patience my friend has. I know I am lucky. 😉 #touchwood

Here is the details of the outfit I wore.

The Flared Skirt:

This is a woven flared Skirt with these cute floral embroidery. The outer net layer has this intense black lining. The fabric is soft and makes it an easy breezy wear.

Best part of the skirt is, it has couple of pockets too.

Long Sleeve, High Neck Top:

I chose this top from my wardrobe to pair with the skirt. The sleeves of this top is the primary reason to buy.

Even though it’s a long or full sleeve top, half of it is covered by this delicate net. Interesting part of the sleeves is these golden beads that add that pretty flavor to this piece of cloth. This high neck top was bought from one of the boutiques near by in Pune.

White Belt:

This thin belt is from one of my favorite boutiques in Pune. Since both skirt as well as top was of same color, wore the white belt to skip the plane look.

Accessories:

Mygirlypedia is very happy to collaborate with this amazing brand of accessories called Krafftwork. The neck piece, earrings and the finger ring are from their amazing collection.

I am a bit confused about which accessory I loved more. Whether this multilayered neck piece or the tiara shaped finger ring.

The word ‘Believe’ is so powerful. Life is nothing but series of hopes and dreams. These two doesn’t hold any meaning if you don’t Believe in what you live for. Isn’t it???

The Crystals and the word Believe made this neckpiece very special for me. I felt so pretty wearing this.

The black drop earrings just perfectly complicated the Outfit I wore today.

Footwear:

This my new buy from the brand CatWalk. The open toe black heels has multiple straps on the forefoot and midfoot region, has a backfoot strap.

Here are some more pictures from today’s day out.

Hair and Skin Care Tips for Holi…

Hey,

The festival of colors is here…  Holi is here…  This festival marks the end of winter and start of summer…  It is celebrated as the victory of Devine over evil…  Holi is celebrated by applying colors or rather playing with colors with family and friends…

As much as we enjoy playing Holi, we suffer a bit, to get skin and hair cleaned post that.  So,  I have this quick post on how to take care of hair and skin this Holi season…

🎆 Oil your hair 15-20 minutes prior to Holi celebration. It keeps your scalp hydrated and washing hair would be easy. Plus, it won’t make your hair dry post wash.

🎆 Apply moisturizer with SPF content all over the body. Moisturizer avoids extra dryness due to chemicals in colors and SPF avoids tanning.

🎆 Wear cotton clothes. Denims will be heavy and other clothes will be sticky once you get wet by colored water.

🎆 It’s advisable to wear full sleeve shirts.  The more area you cover, the more protection for your skin from harsh chemicals.

🎆 Avoid wearing lenses and spectacles. If you can’t manage without spectacles… Be extra cautious. Those surprise attacks of colors might damage the glasses.

🎆 Carry alovera gel if you are allergic to colors. Alovera soothes the itchiness.

🎆 Instead of using chemicals to wash colors, use alovera or glycerin based soaps.

🎆 Don’t forget to apply generous quantity of body lotion post bath.

So this was about self care.  Now couple of  tips to be a good soul.

💖 Do not apply colors to animals. They don’t enjoy that. They lick the colors in order to clean themselves. They end up consuming lot of chemicals in this process. Please take care of our animal buddies.

💖 Avoid wasting water. I know it’s fun to throw colored water but please think of those people who are dying due to scarcity of water. Enjoy a dry Holi.

I hope these tips will be useful for you…  Enjoy ‘the festival of love ‘to the fullest.  Spread colors…

May your life be filled with all the beautiful colors…

Happy Holi… 😇
