6 Different Uses of Lip Balm; No, Applying on Chapped Lips is Not One Of Them..!!

Irrespective of the amount of love you have for makeup, lip balm is something almost every girl is familiar with. Today I am going to tell and show you how to use the lip balm other than to heal your chapped lips.

  • Eyebrow gel:

Eyebrow gel is a transparent gel applied on to eyebrows to keep the eyebrow in place for a long time. This gives the well groomed and neat look to your eyebrow. You can replace the eyebrow gel with a non tinted lip balm. Apply the lip balm on eyebrows and it will make sure to keep the eyebrow hair in place all day long.

  • Transparent Mascara

Mascara is used to define the eyelash and give fuller eyelash look. Transparent mascara is going to do the same trick. Instead of buying a new mascara, you can use a lip balm with no tint do the same trick.

  • Cuticle Cream

Our cuticle need moisture too. Added moisture prevents cuticle from becoming dry and brittle. Apply a layer of lip balm on cuticles before going to bed. Let it add same moisture which a cuticle cream would add.

  • Eye Cream

Skin under the eye area is very thin and needs more hydration. By adding more hydration and moisture we can prevent dark circles, slow down the signs of aging too. If you do not have eye cream handy, you can apply lip balm under your eye to add the moisture. I prefer non tinted lip balm for the obvious reason. I mean I don’t want to scare anyone by applying a tinted lip balm under my eyes, do you??? 😀

  • Eye shadow

Yet time it so happens that you are out and you don’t have much makeup handy. But you got to glam up for a last minute plan, all you need is a tinted lip balm.

Swipe couple of layer on your eyelids and dab. There you go, a pretty eye shadow.

  • Blush

Just like you applied the tinted lip balm on your eyelids, apply it as blush to get that flushed glow.

  • Highlighter

Firstly, if you want to know why and how to apply highlighter, do watch this quick easy video of mine.

If you want to try a very pocket friendly highlighter, try using a lip balm with no tint. This will add that glow and highlight the facial area on which you have applied the lip balm.

Here is the video where I have demonstrated all the points which have been mentioned above.

I hope you find the tips useful. 🙂

Useful Sheet Mask Tips To Make The Most Of It

It doesn’t really matter whether you are a beauty and skin care freak or not; I am sure if you live in the world of Instagram, you have seen these sheet masks while scrolling down the infinite Instagram feed. Haven’t you???

IMG_20190205_220742.jpg

You might know the basic about these sheet masks, let me share some of the tips and tricks to follow while using one. I am sure you will find it useful for your next pampering session with the sheet masks.

What is a sheet mask?

It’s a serum infused paper mask.

Why sheet mask???

Primary purpose of using a sheet mask is to add hydration to your skin.

Sheet mask or a moisturiser???

A good moisturiser adds moisture to your skin (which you all know). But sheet mask on the other hand has serum in it. Which in comparison with moisturiser, easily gets absorbed by skin. Thus, adding maximum moisture your skin needs.

Packing of sheet mask

Sheet mask comes in a pouch packing. A sheet mask which is dipped in serum.

Sheet masks before CTM or after CTM?

Ideally, it’s the M in the CTM where you moisturise. So, it’s always preferred to cleanse your face thoroughly and then use sheet mask. I personally skip toner.

Never use the sheet mask while the makeup is on or there is dirt on your face. Because adding moisture on makeup or dirt is going to clog pores which will end up in breakouts.

How to use a sheet mask?

Unfold the sheet mask and place it on your face. It ha these gaps for your eyes, mouth and nostrils.

For how long should I keep the sheet mask on?

Sheet mask should not be used more than 15 minutes. Reason being, 15 minutes is good enough for your skin to absorb the serum. If the sheet mask left more than that, the drying/ dried sheet masks can start absorbing moisture from your skin. So, doing no good to your skin.

IMG_20190128_224227__01.jpg

How to make use of the excess serum in the pouch?

I love layering the serum on my face once I am done using the sheet mask. I also apply serum on my hands and feet sometimes. Ultimately, it’s a serum which adds moisture. Our hands and feet also need moisture, right?

Should I wash my face after using a sheet mask?

A big no. Because if you do so, it’s absolutely a waste of time and of course the money spent on masking. The serum which is absorbed by the skin should be left to see it’s magic. If we wash face, the serum will be gone, skin won’tbe benefited much.

Should I use moisturiser post sheet masking?

Umm it depends on your skin type. If you really feel the necessity for more moisture, you can. But usually serum in the sheet mask is quite heavy and most of us might not feel the need for moisture.

Should I use the sheet mask daily?

Even if you have dry skin, I don’t really suggest you use sheet mask every day. Because sheet mask is a huge source of moisture. Everything should be in moderation. So, I don’t personally prefer to add so much moisture every day to my skin.

How frequently should I use sheet mask?

If you have dry skin, 3 times a week should be good enough. If you have normal to oily skin, twice should be ok.

How long the results going to last?

Honestly, a day or max two.

Special Tip:

If you have oily, choose the sheet mask wisely. As your skin is already oily, you don’t need more moisture. Sheet masks like shea butter, avocado is something which you better avoid.

If your skin is prone to acne, sheet masks which is meant for skin type like green tea should be helpful. They add moisture also takes care of skin.

If you want to make your own sheet mask, check this out. Where I have mentioned how to make one at home.

I hope you find the post useful. Have any more query or tip??? Feel free to comment below.

How Do I Use Nivea Creme In Different Ways

Hello beautiful,

Let’s talk about a very basic skin care product today. Which can be used in different ways. Umm it’s kind of a budget friendly post, where you spend money on a cheaper product and use it for different purposes.

As the heading of the post says, I am talking about this cute little blue tin of Nivea, which I am sure you are familiar with. Pretty more chances that most of you had or have bought this tin somewhere during your local drug store haul. Haven’t you??? If I heard a No, well, you will buy once you finish reading this.

Let me share some of the ways I make use of this little box of magic.

  • Moisturizing:

The prime factor of Nivea is the super moisture it provides. I personally prefer to apply this heavy cream on my elbows and knees. This provides heavy moisture that my elbows and knees need.

  • Under eye cream:

If you have dark under eye area or puffy eyes, all you need is that extra moisture to pamper it. As you might already know, skin covering the under eye area is very delicate. It requires more hydration. Instead of spending more amount on an eye cream, spend only INR 39 to take care of under eye area. 😃 Sounds super budget friendly right… ? 😉

Applying a thin layer of Nivea before hitting the bed at night, should be helpful.

PS : I sometimes use it during the day as well. On under eye area, before applying any makeup.

  • As a lip mask:

Sitting in air conditioned environment??? Huuh… no matter how the weather is outside, our skin and especially lips get dry. I have a quick tried tested tip for dry lips and skin around mouth.

Apply a layer of Nivea on lips and around mouth. Let it absorb for around ten minutes. Take a wet cloth or wet wipe, wipe the cream. This will make sure the lips are hydrated and skin becomes soft.

I don’t prefer using it as a lip balm because it is too heavy and makes lips look visibly white (you know what I mean.)

  • As a foot cream:

Skin covering our feet is thick and needs heavy moisture. Apply Nivea to your feet and cracked heels. Cover it with socks and enjoy your beauty sleep. Wake up with much softer and happier feet.

  • Shaving Cream:

Applying Nivea before using razor will avoid cuts and also leaves skin smooth post hair removal.

  • As a Hand Cream:

I carry this tiny Nivea tin with me while I travel or I’m out. This will easily fit in small clutch or even inside jeans pocket. I have dry hands and that annoys me a bit sometimes. A quick layer of Nivea is what is enough for me to make my hands baby soft.

Special Note:

As much as I love using Nivea in above mentioned ways, I personally don’t prefer using it on my facial skin. It’s heavy and might clog pores which results in breakouts.

Hope you find it useful to replace some of the expensive skin care products with a super budget friendly Nivea tin.

PS : This is NOT a sponsored post and tips written are out of my own ‘tried and tested’ list.

Do you know what exactly these symbols on cosmetics mean???

Hey,

Have you ever noticed the symbols on certain cosmetics product and wondered what they actually mean???

Here is a quick guide about the symbols which we can see on products:

  1. Digit with M

12M_PAO_Symbol.svg

You might have seen this tint box with 12 M/ 36 M etc, written on it. So this represents the shelf life of the product is 12 months/ 36 months respectively.

2. Bunny

3BF37A0100000578-4099062-image-m-52_1483881729090

If you see a cute little bunny symbol on the product, you should be happy. Because it means no animal was harmed in order to make that product.

3. Flame

Icon_Smoke_&_Fire

Most of us know this symbol. This means the product is flammable. Keep it away from direct heat/ sun light.

4. Book and a hand

HandBook

This means you can find a leaflet inside the box which will provide you with more information.

5. Arrows

recycle-symbol

Yep, you are right…!!! Recyclable.

6. Small ‘e’

1200px-Estimated_sign.svg

It means the product quantity is as accurate as it should have been. I mean there might be chance that the product is either less or more in quantity. Many of oil bottles have this symbol on them.

So now that you know about the symbols, you can tell your girl friends about these the next time you shop. #wink

Multiple Ways to Style A Denim Jacket

Hey,

If you ask me which is my favourite cloth from my wardrobe, I would definitely say my denim jacket. Thats because, this one fashionable thing can be styled in multiple ways. I usually like to pair it up with my denims, skirts etc.

Also, most of us do own one denim jacket at least in their collection. Isn’t it???

So today I am gonna tell you different ways to use a denim jacket which will change your style game.

Shall we start then???

  • Monochrome

howtoweardenimjacket15
This is something I like. I wear my denim jeans with same shade or lighter shade jeans. I love jeans, a white T shirt and a denim jacket combination more.

  • With maxi dress

howtoweardenimjacket13
Gals with heavy upper body, who are not so comfortable with maxi dresses can opt for this. This looks cool and it gives you more comfort and confidence.

  • With One piece

howtoweardenimjacket17
For that not so girly look(believe me, most of the gals don’t want to look so much girly).

  • Crop top and denim jacket #Hawwtt

howtoweardenimjacket14
To flaunt those abs, opt for crop top. Styling it with denim jacket will fetch you brownie points for that ‘almost there/hide and seek’ look. #youknowwhatImean

  • Bright jeans

howtoweardenimjacket1
I used to wear bright colored jeans couple of years back. Red, blue and green were my favorite. If you ever style these, do add this denim jacket with the look. Denim jacket can go with almost everything.

  • Strips

howtoweardenimjacket6
For that funky look, style your striped T-shirts with denim jackets.

  • Black and denim

howtoweardenimjacket8
Black – my favorite color. I love going monochrome with black. Black top and black jeans. In order to add that splash of color, you can style it with the jacket to turn the style game on.

  • With animal print skirt

howtoweardenimjacket16
Wanna get that stylish look with a simple jacket, invest on a style statement piece – animal print skirt.

  • With long skirt

Yesterday I came across a snap of Bollywood actress Kangana. She is one of the style divas for sure who keeps on experimenting with her clothes. I just loved the skirt she was wearing. I am gonna find it and buy it for sure. So, the pretty skirt can also be styled with a denim for more sophisticated look. As I was thinking about mixing up with denim jacket, she even did carry a denim jacket with her(which I had not noticed yesterday as I was busy looking at her colorful skirt and thinking from where to buy it.). The complete  look is super chick.

  • For more ideas, check this out.

Isn’t this so amazingly styled?? That too as per seasons. With stockings, scarfs and other accessories.

I hope you found this post useful for the next time you play the dress up game. Do let me know which is your favorite look among these..

Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer – Blueberry Frosting – Review

Hey,

Monday is here… Agrhhh…

Have you ever wondered, your hands are something which people notice when you meet and greet them. So, taking good care of hands and nails should be in our ‘Check List’. Don’t you think so??

You can check hand and nail care posts here.

Today, I’m gonna review the nail paint which is on my nails, right now. This one is from the brand Nykaa. The online shopping site Nykaa, has come up with their own range of cosmetics. I haven’t tried my hands on their cosmetics yet. But, I own some Nykaa nail paints from their huge collection of nail paints. Let me start with my favorite of them all.

Nykaa Matte Nail Enamel – Blueberry Frosting.

Read on if it’s worth buying.

Brand : Nykaa

Range : Matte

Shade name : Blueberry Frosting

Shade : light purple

Price : 179 INR (Depends on shade)

Shelf life : 23 months

Packing :

Comes in transparent but matte effect glass bottle. To give that matte feel in terms of packing as well. The glass is sturdy, I have tested it by dropping it multiple times. #accidently But, be gentle with cap. I have broken it already. #sad

Applicator :

Applicator brush is soft and of good quality.

Texture :

This is a matte finish one. That means no glossy or shining effects.

My experience :

I must say I’m bit lazy when it comes to nail Polish application. I can apply them but I can’t sit ideal till it gets dry. I always, always end up with messy nail paint. At least on one nail. #Atleast

But, this one has been made just for me. #TheOne Because, it dries up so quickly…!!! By the time you finish applying nail paint for fifth finger first finger’s nail is all dry and ready. Now that’s something I loved about this. You don’t have to sit like a doll waiting for nails to dry. #happydance

Special note: Since it dries quickly, better be quick to clean up the extra ones applied outside your nails, for a neat finish.

You might feel that the price is high for a nail paint. Even I had thought so #confession. But, the finishing it gives will make you forget the money you have spent. I felt it’s worth the money.

Plus – I got lot of complements for the color and finish from my friends and colleagues. #BlushBlush

PS: if you are wondering – why this shade… I love trying out different shades on my nails. Some uncommon colors. 😉 I was wickedly famous for trying out ‘out of the world’ nail colors. #memories

Will I repurchase???

Even though I loved this shade, there are multiple shades in this range. Would love to try different shades.

Will I recommend???

Yes. I have already done that to some of my friends. They are very happy with the purchase. You too try these matte nail paints. 💅

You can buy it from here.

Mygirlypedia Rating : 4/5 (minus for the non sturdy plastic cap) 💋💋💋💋

Homemade Nourishing Hair Masks

Happy Sunday,

It’s my spa day. I’m thinking of treating myself with a good hair mask today… !!!

My hair has become a bit dry. All thanks to rainy weather…  I have couple of avocado in my fridge. So, I’m going with avocado mask.

I’ll tell you the recipe of mask along with some more. Read on, chose one as per the ingredients available in your kitchen today…

Ready to enjoy hair mask today???

  • Avocado hair mask

Smash avocado, mix a bit of honey and water. Once the paste is ready, apply it on damp or dry hair. Keep it for an hour or so before washing with mild shampoo. Avocado is super moisturizing and adds shine to hair. Honey is known for its moisturizing property too. This mask is a bliss for dry hair.

  • Egg whites

This is a bit smelly mask. But nourishing one. All you need to do is take the egg white and apply it on hair. Leave for an hour. Wash with a good shampoo to wash away the smell. You need to wash hair really good, else you will stink.  haha

  • Mayonnaise

I love mayonnaise. This is one magical food next to Nutella(Nutella is my first love). They can make most of the food magically edible. If you also love mayonnaise *high five *

Have you ever tried applying mayonnaise on hair???  If not, you should. This will give you a shiny and bouncy hair.

  • Alovera

This one multi benefit plant, can be used to treat dull damaged hair. I have this in my balcony. Have you planted one??  Planting one Alovera plant can solve many of your beauty problems.  Cut the leaves of a lover and apply the jelly on your hair. This adds that extra moisture to your hair.  Also solves scalp problems if any.

  • Curd

As many of you guys know, curd is super food for your hair. Applying curd on hair helps to get healthy hair. You can add couple of drops of lemon juice to curd if you have dandruff problem.

  • Onion juice

Do you have itchy scalp???  Wanna grow your hair fast???  Here is the remedy. Cut and smash onion. Squeeze out the juice. Apply on the scalp and hair. I know it has a very strong smell. But try and keep it for an hour darling so that it works it’s magic. Wash it with a good amount of shampoo to get healthy and clean hair.

  • Banana mask

This is one more healthy moisturizing mask. Mix banana and honey in mixer and apply this super thin paste on your hair.

Once I had decided to treat myself with this mask on my birthday. The biggest mistake I did was, instead of blending it in a blender or a mixer, I just smashed it manually and applied that thick paste. While I was taking head bath, I realized the blunder I had made. I had to call my mom for rescue. She helped me get rid of tiny piece of sticky bananas from my hair. It was a disastrous birthday.  lesson learnt So, please blend it well before applying.

  • Henna

When I say henna, it should be home made. Make a paste out of henna leaves. Do not believe in the packed henna we get in market. Most of which have added colors. So instead of doing good, you are actually harming your crown. Apply homemade henna pack to hair. This has cooling property and also nourishes your hair.

  • Ghee

You have to try this grandma recipe. This is food for hair. Even though some of us doesn’t like the smell of it, our hair will be very happy if you use it as a mask.

  • Mix and try

Young woman combing conditioner through hair, reflection in mirror

You can mix any of the above ingredients and try out. I do that. It’s like multi benefits in single go. But make sure you don’t end up with a runny mask. It should be a paste. So that you don’t have to be bothered for an hour when the mask is on. Make sure you relax that one hour of yours while your hair is getting benefited.

So, these are some of my tried and tested hair masks. If you have tried something other than these, please let us know in the comments section below.

Keep loving yourself…!!!  💋

Don’t Compare Your Chapter 1 to Someone Else’s Last

Hey my beautiful reader,

How’s was your Saturday??? What are your plans for Sunday???

Some of you might be partying, some of you might be out in the rain with friends, some might be enjoying staying at home (like me), some might not be so happy staying at home… There are definitely some, who constantly check their social media updates and gets sad/worried… Ummm let me explain you more…

Private life’ is called so because it meant to be private.  Nowadays people have actually forgotten that we can actually eat at a restaurant without ‘checking in’  on social media. Watching movie at theater needs tickets and of course a bucket full of popcorn, not a Facebook update.

You know what is worst on social media, ‘honeymoon photos’. **like seriously ** and how can I not mention those hash tags #besthubbyintheworld (sorry, was there any competition??),  #myfavoritehubby (ahem…  How many do you have???)  #blessedToBeYourWife/hubby (is your God added in your Facebook account??? You can thank him off the social media too. )  *drama everywhere *

Unfortunately, many people believe what they see on social media. They tend to compare their lives with theirs. They think those with frequent check-ins are having ‘happening life’. Some do think that the one with above hash tags are actually the best couple.

No…!!!  What you see is only the best poses, best clicks. No body puts up sad stories, #quarrelDiaries..  Na..  No one…  No one posts how much did they spend at those fancy restaurants. They don’t say that they are bankrupt on any of the medias.

I have been there, done that. But, trust me I came across certain scenarios where I have heard the ‘behind the stories’  of those ‘blessed to have you’  couples. That was the time I got to know how fake people are on social medias.

If you are one among those, who is comparing your life with others, I have a msg for you. This is my favorite one.

New York is 3 hours ahead of California but it does not mean that California is slow, or that New York is fast. Both are  working based on their own “Time Zone.”

Some one is still single. Someone got married and ‘waited’ 10 years before having a child. There is another who had a baby within a year of marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately !

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their ‘Time Zone’,

People can have things worked out only according to their pace.

Work in your “time zone”.

Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might “seem” to go ahead of you.

May be some might “seem” behind you.

Everyone is in this world running their own race on their own lane in their own time. God has a different plan for everybody.Time is the difference. Obama retires at 55, Trump resumes at 70

Don’t envy them or mock them, it’s their ‘Time Zone.’

You are in yours!

Hold on, be strong, and stay true to yourself. All things shall work together for your good.

You’re not late … You are not early … you’re very much On time!😊👍stay blessed.

You Are In Your Time Zone….!!!

Tomorrow is not promised. You never know where everyone is heading to. You might be comparing your first chapter with last chapter of others.
Everyone is blessed with different lives. No point in comparing or being replica of someone. Instead be original. Enjoy what you have. I am sure there are plenty who are willing to live your life.

With this I remember one more story.

Once God announced that people can exchange their sorrows with someone else’s sorrows. So he asked them to keep their sorrows on a table. When people looked at the sorrows for an exchange, everyone ended up picking their own sorrows.!!!

You never know what sorrows they are hiding behind those 500+ liked photos.

Unfortunately, most of the sorrows are self made. If you want to go and have food like them???  Go… You don’t need someone to hold your hand and make you eat. Be your own best friend. Treat yourself with great food.

As per as different ‘life events’  are concerned, when the time is right, everything will be right.

Enjoy your life. Accept the challenges because they are making you stronger. Be thankful for the tough times because they are letting you know who really cares.

Stay happy…  We have only one life to live… Live it like a Queen…  Or like the one ‘who doesn’t care, who the Queen is’…  💋

Tips to Avoid Freezy Hair This Monsoon

Hey,

Enjoying monsoon??? Yesterday, I posted about my love hate relationship with rain. A point which I forgot to mention was about how rain treats our hair…!!

They say that rain is not good for hair. In deed it makes our hair dry and freezy. sob

No worries, there are tips for this in mygirlypedia…

Read on to know how to keep your hair healthy this monsoon.

  • Prevention is better than cure

Protect your crown from getting wet. Cover your hair while stepping out.

  • Say yes to Conditioner

Never skip conditioner after using shampoo. You can check this post on how to make most of a hair wash here. So to avoid your hair getting dry, apply conditioner post shampooing.

  • Hair mask

You can opt for deep conditioning by applying home made or ready made hair masks. I would suggest Loreal hair mask is the best for dry and freezy hair.

  • Hot oil therapy

Do a good hot oil massage to your scalp at least once or twice a week. Thus makes hair healthier. relaxing

  • Try Hair serum

Always keep hair serum handy. A coin size amount of serum is enough to keep hair smooth and in place.

  • Avoid chemical treatments

Chemical treatments like hair smoothening should better be avoided especially in monsoon. It does more harm than good.

  • Less blow dries

Things I love and Hate About Monsoon

Hey,

How’s your week going on???  Mine is a hectic one. Long day at work is not allowing me to spend much time in mygirlypedia. sob sob

But, I strongly believe that we need to do those things,  which makes you feel happy that you are alive. I love blogging, shopping and makeup. And of course few minutes of me time. What about you???

While riding back home in the rain, I was just thinking what I really love about monsoon. And what I don’t.

Read on to know what makes me happy and what annoys me in monsoon.

What I like,

  • Greenery

cherrapunji

With the first rain itself, all the grass, plants and trees starts getting greener.  These green mountains are so soothing to our eyes.

  • The fragrance of soil

2

I love the fragrance (I’m not using the word smell here, purposely) of soil when the rain droplets kiss mother earth for the first time…!!!

  • Bike rides

0b34ed02d954054598e2750262f4d1b4--rain-dance-riding-bikes

I love it when rain droplets fall on me. It makes me feel light and melts away all the negativity around me.

  • Rainbows

dupla-szivarvanyok-34

The kid in me, still jumps with happiness when she sees the rainbows.

  • Pleasant sleeps

0 njp5ovIymGzuJdz8

In summers, no matter with what speed the fan is rotating, you won’t get that pleasant sleep. I love hiding myself under couple of blankets and surrendering myself to sweet dreams, while listening to the sound of falling rain droplets. *best music *

  • Hot food/beverage

b3334f84d782abb934751b73ee1d0a13--rainy-morning-rainy-days

Wow…  Sitting in the balcony, munching your favorite home made hot food and sipping hot coffee/tea. *heaven on earth *

  • Music

84eb3978e79b89e7ea728d7ef525d3cc

I love listening to rain related songs while watching or getting drenched in rain. When you have the actual rain with you you can feel the lyrics more. **bollywood freak* *drama queen **

  • Nostalgia

1

Everyone has their own set of childhood memories when it comes to monsoon. Buying monsoon footwear, protecting bag and notebooks from rain by covering them in polythene bags. I used to always forget or misplace umbrellas in schools. If it wasn’t raining while leaving from school, I used to forget umbrellas there. Mom’s question “did you forget something?”  used to make me think of all the mischief I had done in that last week. Even after getting ‘reminder beatings’  from mom, I continued ‘mission misplacing umbrella’ . After all its rains duty to remind me of its existence and my umbrella.  haha and of course making paper boats and getting drenched while trying to make it sail was the best childhood memories. Isn’t it???

  • Monsoon sales

Confessions_of_a_Shopaholic2

Happiest season for shopaholics…!!! ‘Sales’ ahhh what a magical word it is..!!!

What we don’t like,

  • Riding in cities

587524-monsoon-pti

When you are riding and tire of the vehicle moving ahead sprinkles that dirty water from road. Ewww….

  • Public transportation

MMRDA-smartcard

There will be someone with stinking clothes or footwear. They are enough to hold our breath till death. And please don’t let me start with traffic. banging head

  • Clothes drying – Forever task

clothesline

It takes like days for even a piece of cloth to get dried completely. No matter how long it takes, we have to dry it because we know those clothes which are not dried properly, stinks sooo bad. *suffocating *

  • Diseases

common-cold_wide-258ac39578320d1b0eb6587ba176503ebdbe5bda

There are so many diseases caused by water and weather change. *Aaakshuuuu… *

  • Carrying umbrellas or rain coats

6362617919816909721168965989_umbrella-9

Along with your usual baggage, you need to carry those wet umbrellas and rain coats. *phewww *

  • Are you one of those who were spectacles??

0843e9e1fbcab6a482de4787b9589f43

Oh God save you. You need to have a spectacles with wipers to survive outdoors in the monsoon. weep weep

  • Rain reminds us about all leakages in the house

a-woman-on-the-roof

  • Saving yourself from getting wet is next to impossible

4500079244_581c3a3049_b

No matter how much you are covered, at least cuffs of your pants do get wet.

  • So are your vehicles

2wheeler

Vehicles give us so much trouble in monsoon. Sometimes they don’t start, sometimes in the middle of the road,  they stop. All thanks to water droplets which get inside them. grrhhh

What are your views?? What do you like and hate about monsoon…???

Do comment below or what’s app me(which most of you do)…  Love to hear your views…

Anyways, let’s concentrate on good things more and try to ignore the bad things. *angel smile *

Oily food??? No no..!!!

As much as possible eat roasted food over oily ones. Needless to say, oily foods are unhealthy. They do more harm than good.

Smaller plates for rescue:

Try to serve food to yourself on a smaller plate. This will make sure that your intake of unhealthy food is less. ‘Moderation’ is the key. Whatever you eat, make sure it’s in moderation.

Drink Plenty of Water:

You can live without food for long, but water ‘naa’..!!! You need to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. You tend to get exhausted at the end of the day. Drinking water, will keep you away from the harmful effects of dehydration and also helps in flushing out toxins from the body.

Nuts/fruits instead of sweets –

Choose to have some healthy nuts/fruits instead of sweets. Festivals and not having sweets..!!! Not happening na??? Ok, here is the small deal – go for non-fried sondesh and rasgulla instead of a gulab jamun. Steamed modaks are also diet friendly.  *happy sweet tooth*

dryfruits

Say No to alcohol:

Alcohol is one of the major causes for dehydration. After the late night parties with loved ones, you don’t want to have a bad hangover the next morning right. Do you want to look dehydrated/pale the next day honey??? Orrr do you want to add any extra unwanted calories around your waist???(which we call beer belly *haha*)   I can hear you saying ‘Nooo’..!!! *Wink* then please say ‘No’ to alcohol as much as possible.

Did you know about ‘Permanent Makeup’…???

Hey beautiful,

On a long day at work, after partying all night, while running out of time to get ready in the morning; have you ever thought, how dreamy our day would be if our makeup would never fade…!!! Makeup with no touch ups…!!! To make this wish of makeup geeks come true, here is some new cosmetic treatment called ‘Permanent makeup’. By this procedure, you will have perfectly shaped eyebrows, kissable lips and perfect eyeliner all day long…!!! Sounds like a dream right…   happy tearsmakeup-tablet

My beautician had introduced me to this word ‘permanent makeup’ few years back. I was very much fascinated by the way she use to draw perfect eyeliner on her eye lids. I was curious to know how she manages to draw such perfect lines every time. I was surprised to know that those lines were permanent…!!! I must say her eyeliner was dark black and glossy. perfect She later explained and answered all my queries regarding the procedure, pros and cons. Today I will be sharing the info I had got, with you…

You too must be curious to know what permanent makeup is all about… Well, read on to know more…!!! wink

It is considered as micropigmentation(just like tattoo). This procedure involves needles to inject pigment granules beneath upper layer of the skin.

Most popular beauty enhancements are:

  1. Eyeliner
  2. Eyebrows
  3. Lip color
  4. Lip line
  5. Blush
  6. Eye shadow
  7. Eyelash enhancement

  1. This treatment is done in the supervision of dermatologists, cosmetologists, aesthetician, nurses, and tattooists.
  2. They apply anesthetic to skin before starting with it.
  3. Various devices, including the traditional tattoo coil machines, the pen or rotary machine (includes the digital rotary machines) and the non-machine or hand device are used.

Everything has +ve and -ve side.

Best part of Permanent makeup:

  1. Saves time.
  2. Doesn’t fade due to humidity and other weather conditions.
  3. No need to invest on makeup removers.
  4. Saves money which we spend to buy different makeup products.

The side effects that might be caused due to the permanent makeup:

  1. The chemical/ pigments involved might cause your lips to swell.
  2. Eyebrow after effect
  3. The skin around eye is very sensitive and delicate. The anesthesia given around eye might burn cornea.
  4. The eyeliner drawn might cause bruises.
  5. The artificial blush/ eye shadow application done as a part of permanent makeup might cause skin irritation. The pigments, if doesn’t suit your skin, it will affect large area of your face. This will have to be corrected with face surgery.
  6. These are cosmetic tattoos. If the needles used are not hygienic, it might cause harmful diseases.
  7. Pigments may cause allergic reactions to certain people.
  8. Make sure you choose someone well expertise in these procedures. Or else you might end up being a disaster…!!!
  9. I personally feel, after some time we might get bored of same makeup. I am someone who love experimenting different eye makeups. It might look good all day long but it will be boring to carry same makeup every single day.
  10. Undergoing MRI scan might become a headache. Its advisable to let your MRI technician to know about your permanent cosmetic in order to avoid  skin irritations.

permanent-makeup-vorher_nachher

There are plenty of women who opt for permanent makeup. If you really really feel you need this, if you are ready to undergo all these procedures, if you are ready taking risks, then only get this cosmetic make over done by an expert.

I would personally advice you to be happy in your own skin. Be happy with what you are blessed with. You are pretty, the way you are…!!!

Take care pretty…
