OOTD | How to Style A Black Crop Top In 5 Different Ways

Hi Girlies,

Dressing up or looking all dolled up makes me feel good. It makes me happy. That is why dress up game is my favourite. Yours?

So, I have made this post to show you a glimpse of dress up game I played today. โ˜บ๏ธ

I styled this full sleeves crop top in five different ways. Colour of the top? You know how much I love the colour black. If you hadnโ€™t, well, you know now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I bought this crop top from Myntra. ย Some bottoms are bought from online store and some offline. Hehe.

Letโ€™s get started with the looks.!

  • ย Boy friend jeans:

These are oversized jeans. I must say, they are too comfortable. I love wearing them especially on those days when I am feeling lazy to dress up but still want to look good. Haha we all have such days once in a while. True?

I usually keep accessories minimal or no accessory for such looks.

  • Palazzo:

I know I talk about this piece of cloth in most of my outfit posts. I just canโ€™t help it. They are so comfortable and stylish that I love them a lot.

I had created a similar look with the same palazzo but a long top. Do you remember that post?ย

Well, this is a look inspired by that one. But crop top looks more cooler. Know?

I wore these big white earrings to add more girly touch. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

7B773680-675D-4982-A695-BB84E1568B3F4A2A2A1E-4A9D-4330-B35D-B2AAC6DC4E42963D7123-371B-4AA9-A2B9-36E79F58D2FB

I know this palazzo looks like a long skirt. Here is a pose to prove that itโ€™s not a skirt. ๐Ÿ˜

  • Monochrome:

Styling with single coloured outfit makes it a monochrome look.

Paired the same top with my favourite pair of black, stretchable, high waisted jeans.

Wore hoop earrings and kept the neck minimal. I personally like skipping neck accessory whenever I am wearing boat neck tops. Minimal the better for such pattern.

Also, included this silver, multilayered waist chain to add a pinch of spark to this monochrome look.

  • Skirt:

A favourite and comfortable piece of fabric loved by many – skirt.

Wore this striped pencil skirt along with the black crop top.

Chick look, perfect for brunch dates.

  • A touch of ethnicity:

Tried something new. Styled the same top with palazzo and twist to the look is the dupatta.!!

Draped the dupatta around to get a look of half sari. Added nice silver earrings and finger ring to increase ethnic look score. Plus, the bindi ๐Ÿ˜›

Tried with two different dupattas. I like the red one more. What about you? ๐Ÿ˜€

So, these are the looks I created with keeping the top as a common piece of fabric across all looks.

I hope you enjoyed the looks as much as I did creating them. ๐Ÿค—

Black Dress And Bold Lips : OOTD

We all have two moods when it comes to dressing up – either we dress up like a homeless or we dress up like we are going to meet our worst enemy. Well I had a latter one kind of a day.

Thought that initiated this look is ‘bold lips’. You guys know how much I love lipsticks or any lip product in general. Seemed like my whole collection was wandering between different shades of either red, pink or some shades of n*de. Umm light, cool shades in general. Recently I came across some pictures of one of my favourite influencer @avantii2 on Instagram. She had carried these bold lips so elegantly that I had to, had to try my hands on them.

Lipstick alone is a great accessory you can carry. I did exactly that with this look. Tried these bold lips for the first time. I kind of like it. I used two shades of lipsticks from Elle 18.

About choosing this outfit. For the zillion time – Black is my happy colour. It’s classy, always. Winter is my favourite season of all. I love layering up. This black body hugging outfit is from the brand ‘Forever 21’. The turtle neck and the fabric is just perfect for a dinner night during chilly winter nights. The cold shoulder sleeves add some fun to the outfit.

It is still quite cold here in Pune. So just to increase the points in layering game, chose to wear these stockings.

Footwear – These black heels from the brand catwalk, bought online from Myntra.

OOTD : Shopping From My Own Wardrobe

“Ahhh I don’t have anything to wear…!!!” is a universal dialogue of girls. Typically said while they stand in front of their huge wardrobe. Sounds strange but yes that’s the real problem we all face, many a times.

Most of the girls love shopping (yes I have seen some exceptional cases who doesn’t like shopping at all. #SpareMe). We don’t really need an occasion to shop. Do we? But when we have occasion, we never avoid shopping. No matter how special the occasion is, we tend to buy new clothes to dress up.

If you are working lady, you will exactly understand what I am going to say next – During the start of the month we feel like shopping anything and everything. All thanks to the mobile apps who send you constant notifications about the offers and stuffs. Thus, we end up shopping more than what we need. By the end of the month, you might start regretting the money you wasted on the stuffs which you didn’t need. Ironically, if you clean up your wardrobe, there is high chance that you might come across at least a pair of clothes which you haven’t even worn at least once. Don’t you??? I have. **face palm**

So, to be guilt free and to stop wasting money, I have started a new thing, inspired by my favourite @wanderleen – shop from my own wardrobe.

How??? Just pick a piece of cloth and mix and match with different clothes and accessories you already own. Yes. That’s possible.

For example, I love this palazzo. Which I have worn multiple times with multiple tops/ Kurtis without wasting money on different jeans/ bottoms.

Look 2:

You know how we girls are. We buy nail paint/ accessories and then by matching outfit sometimes (trust me that happens sometime). So something similar was supposed to happen with me few days back.

One of my beautiful friends gifted me this beautiful embroidery dupatta. For which, I wanted to buy a plane black kurti. In spite the fact that my wardrobe is 60% filled with black clothes. #TypicalGirlIAm.

As it was a month end and making a hole in already torn out pocket was not at a good idea. So just give it a thought of having a glance at my wardrobe, check whether if something really goes with dupatta. Guess what??? I got this kurti which I had worn for this post. Where I had created a look inspired by Shraddha in the movie Stree.

OOTD : Inspired by The Movie Stree

Do you like horror films??? I don’t. I just can’t watch them, especially not in a theatre. But, recently with lots of courage, I did watch a horror comedy movie in theatre – Stree. Comedy was so good that it did balanced that horror stuffs. Phew.

Thing I loved the most, apart from the individual performances, is the makeup and costume of the heroine.

Shraddha Kapoor is seen in ethnic attire with simple smudgy eye makeup.

The most interesting part of the entire look is her silver nose pin. This has definitely set a trend among girls.

So, for my birthday this year, one of my friends from work gave me this beautiful nose pin. I loved the hand written note the most, needless to say I am old schooled. ๐Ÿ˜Š

My friend is such sweet soul, she gifted this and said try it out and do post on blog. I love those people who encourage others to pursue their passion.

So, with all love and warmth, here is the look I created. Which is of course inspired by the movie Stree.

Stree Inspired OOTD

This kurta set is from Myntra. Black is my favorite (it’s an open secret now) and it’s something mystery, which suits the theme of Stree. ๐Ÿ˜

Stree Inspired OOTD

The floral printed pallazos have these pockets. They are so comfy to wear…!!!

For footwear, my all time favorite open heels from 20 dresses.

Stree Inspired OOTD

As I said, eye makeup and accessories are been given good importance to create this look.

Stree Inspired OOTD

For eyes, I did a smudged eye look. I have created a YouTube video for it. You can watch it here.

Stree Inspired OOTD

Since eye makeup was quite prominent, I chose to keep the lips neutral. I have applied these lipsticks from the brand the body shop.

OOTD : Imperfectly Perfect

So,

Today I went out with one of my closest friends to get clicked. Of course for my blog purpose. The outfit I chose today is a combination of dark pink and white top.

A lot of thoughts came to my mind while I checked my photos today. Before I pen down(read it as type) my thoughts, let me just share the details of the outfit first.

This netted pink skirt is from one of my random online shoppings. This is of ankle length. The inner layer is of same color. The skirt as you can make out in the pictures, is very comfortable to wear plus very soft.

The top. I was bit confused with styling this skirt with a black or a white top. While a black top would add a bit of boldness or strong factor to the outfit, the white top keeps it chick and cute. So, for a change, opted for a white one.

This white layered styled back top is bought from Myntra. The shoulder and the straps make this top something ‘hatke’. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The belt I wore is from a boutique here in Pune. Wore it add some spark for the plain skirt.

For footwear, I styled it with the nu*e block heels from the brand 20 dresses.

Pearl is something I chose to complete the look. Pearl bracelet and earrings made this outfit even more cute and girly.

About the thought. I don’t know about you, but I love myself a lot. Think I am near to perfect in many ways. I’m sure many does. It’s one of those human nature. But what I realized today is, am I really taking a good care of myself???

No, I’m not talking about the things I need or want. It’s about my mental and physical health. Which is way more precious gift you can and should give to yourselves.

While I do go to gym at least five days a week, I feel nothing less than a celebrity. Fit celebrity I mean. Oh come on, if you are also sweating it out in gym, I’m sure you feel the same. But after looking at my tummy in pictures all I could remember was the junk food I have been eating lately.

Social media nowadays has a lot of effects on our generation. Mostly negative. Even though most of the magazine covers out there are heavily photoshopped, we believe that those people are blessed with perfect body and hair.

I know, nobody is perfect. Deep down, we all know. Even celebrities have days where they face bloating and face those extra inches here and there inside those perfect outfits. That’s ok. Absolutely.

But body fat is something we need to work on. For improvising our health.

PS: if you are thinking I have very negligible fat, well, thank you. But as my mom rightly says, it’s wise to start working on weight issues in the beginning. Because once you gain good amount of weight, the weight loss journey becomes way more tougher. Agreed?

While I am worried about visible results of the baby fat getting accumulated in the body, I am way more worried about things which we can’t see inside our body. We eat anything and everything sometimes. Emotional eaters, I hope you are listening…!!!

When we are young, our body is way more capable to handle these harm. But as we age, our body loses it’s capacity to do so. While we have time, I think we should definitely take a good care of ourselves by eating right and doing a good physical activity. This is definitely going to be one of the best gifts you can give to yourself. Don’t you think so???

Ahh about mental health. Tension, stress please stay away.

At the end of the day, I love myself. I love my body. But this doesn’t stops me from improving it.

What I want to tell you guys is, no point in worrying or getting depressed about body weight and those extra curves. This doesn’t mean, you so much fall in love with those curves that you make them bigger day by day. Balance it out. Till you achieve the body you want to (please don’t aim for a Victoria secret angel body, because it takes hell lot of effort), try and try.

Weight loss journey is not about sweating it out in gym. It’s mostly the mental strength you need to achieve the goals. How much you can control your cravings. How much you chose healthy over pleasure of eating.

I see many young girls doing crash diets or just getting sad day by day.

Girls, stop those things. Nobody is perfect. I had a good lunch today which can be seen in some of the pictures. Haha. That means we are blessed with good amount of food.

Balance the things. Instead of worrying about gained weight, plan about eating healthy and sweating it out with good activities.

Love yourself. Weight loss is not a rocket science. Anybody can do it. All it takes is a great disciplined diet and exercise. With regular efforts, I’m sure we can achieve it.

I’m going to start giving up on my love, junk food. I know it’s going to be way more tougher than I think. But I have to start it super soon.

So, what is your game plan to lose weight??? What’s that one thing you have to give up but need a lot of efforts to do so???

Share your weight loss journey or tips. I’m sure it will help most of the girls here. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hope you enjoyed my outfit of the day and of course my thoughts about those extra curves. ๐Ÿ˜Š

OOTD: I Love This Look, Bepannah

Hello….

It’s rainy day here…. I hope you are dry and safe…

You know, we sometimes get so much inspired by some people, the way dress up the way they talk, walk and especially lead an independent life. I’m referring to one of the Indian television celebrities – Jennifer Winget.

She is a doll. I have written about her in this article. Where I have mentioned why I get so much inspired by her. Not just the way she carries herself but also the way she leads an independent life and manages to be positive.

No doubt, she is a doll. She manages to look pretty all the time. I loved her performance in her previous show – Beyhadh. I loved her outfits in her current show – Bepannah.

Her earrings, her Indian attires are treat for every fashion enthusiast’s eyes.

Inspired by her accessories, I have been trying to add more pieces to my collection.

Here is the oxidised earring I bought last evening which reminded me of Zoya( Jennifer’s character’s name).

Do you also chose your accessories first and then the outfit??? I do that most of the times. Today is one such day.

IMG_20180717_120849_Bokeh.jpg

This kurta is one of my favorites. Not just because it’s my favorite color, but also I loved the pattern and the soft poly rayon material.

The round neck is something I really love. It adds it’s own spark to the outfit. Plus it is perfect and appropriate to wear it for work place.

The purple strips on the neck and the sleeves makes it look more attractive.

Bought this from Myntra. Direct link to buy kurta is here.

As I said, it was raining heavily and I had to attend office today. Haha. So here are some pictures clicked indoor, at my office. Hope you like them.

OOTD : Girl In The Man Made City

Hello,

Have you guys watched this super girly web series called ‘Girl In the City’??? It’s fashionable, inspiring, entreating, touching. Has all the flavors. If you have not.. Do watch.ย  Yesterday I had been to this artificial man made city. So the name for this post came to my mind in reference to my favorite series.

They say, Every day is a fashion show, the world is your runway…!!! This is the outfit I wore for today’s dress up game.

Skirts are those stylish piece of fabrics, which never go out of Vogue. Couple of months ago I had bought this skirt from my favorite online shop – Myntra. Which I chose to wear today for a quick picnic to Lavasa, the man made City.

Lavasa is a beautifully city which is built based on Italian town called Portofino. The colorful buildings, the lake, pavement, bridges everything looks so dreamy.

Since it’s summer, water level was bit less than usual. But the pleasant environment made sure to compensate for that.

DSCN0418

What made the picnic perfect was the company of my best buddy. A girl is happier when her buddy never gets tired of clicking her pictures. right??? hehe. Well, you can see these pictures and guess the amount of patience my friend has. I know I am lucky. ๐Ÿ˜‰ #touchwood

Here is the details of the outfit I wore.

The Flared Skirt:

This is a woven flared Skirt with these cute floral embroidery. The outer net layer has this intense black lining. The fabric is soft and makes it an easy breezy wear.

Best part of the skirt is, it has couple of pockets too.

Long Sleeve, High Neck Top:

I chose this top from my wardrobe to pair with the skirt. The sleeves of this top is the primary reason to buy.

Even though it’s a long or full sleeve top, half of it is covered by this delicate net. Interesting part of the sleeves is these golden beads that add that pretty flavor to this piece of cloth. This high neck top was bought from one of the boutiques near by in Pune.

White Belt:

This thin belt is from one of my favorite boutiques in Pune. Since both skirt as well as top was of same color, wore the white belt to skip the plane look.

Accessories:

Mygirlypedia is very happy to collaborate with this amazing brand of accessories called Krafftwork. The neck piece, earrings and the finger ring are from their amazing collection.

I am a bit confused about which accessory I loved more. Whether this multilayered neck piece or the tiara shaped finger ring.

The word ‘Believe’ is so powerful. Life is nothing but series of hopes and dreams. These two doesn’t hold any meaning if you don’t Believe in what you live for. Isn’t it???

The Crystals and the word Believe made this neckpiece very special for me. I felt so pretty wearing this.

The black drop earrings just perfectly complicated the Outfit I wore today.

Footwear:

This my new buy from the brand CatWalk. The open toe black heels has multiple straps on the forefootย and midfoot region, has a backfoot strap.

Here are some more pictures from today’s day out.

Do leave your comments in the comments section below. Because there is no girl in the world, whom a compliment can’t make smile.

OOTD : Kurti With Palazzos

Hello,

How’s summer treating you??? Are you enjoying the freshness of this season???

Let me ask you one more question… What’s your style mantra??? Especially for summers…

Like most of us, mine too is to feel comfortable in the easy breezy clothes. This morning I was not in a mood to go to office(nothing special about this morning. It’s every mornings’ story), it was quite humid outside. So, denim was definitely was not an option for me. Because as much as possible I avoid wearing tight clothes in summers for the obvious reasons…!!! Hence only easy breezy piece of fashion came to mind, to solve this little puzzle was – palazzos.

You guys have already seen my post regarding the different ways to style palazzos. Also, have seen my OOTD posts, where I have worn this beautiful and comfortable palazzos.

Outfit:

I picked up this kurti to pair with the black palazzos.

IMG_20180509_122403_Bokeh.jpg

This kurti is definitely one of my favorite. I usually pair this up with my black jeans. The sleeveless kurti is high neck one, with red patch at the upper half and at the bottom sleeve. The golden embroidery work on these red patches gives this kurti the look. On the black patch, there are these small lotus flowers, printed in golden color paint. This kurti somehow always gives me semi ethnic feel(you know what I mean).

IMG_20180509_122559_Bokeh.jpg

Palazzos – Bought from a local boutique here in Pune.
Top – Mamma’s gift. ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_20180509_122709_Bokeh.jpg

Accessories:

Today, I also wanted to go a bit of ethnic.(Read the word ‘bit’ twice). How??? wanted to wear this set of beautiful bangles which I had bought couple of weeks ago.

IMG_20180509_142024.jpg
Isn’t the Elephant on my bangle the Cutest???

There is something in these oxidised accessories, that just makes me fall in love with them.

IMG_20180509_122850_Bokeh.jpg

For ears, picked up these oxidised earrings from my collection. I can say the accessories for today were the oxidized accessories.

IMG_20180509_165411.jpg

Since it’s a high neck one, no scope for neck accessory haha.

IMG_20180509_122841.jpg

As I had also mentioned in my previous OOTDs, when you are wearing palazzos it’s always a good idea to choose heels over flats to complete the look. Wore these open-toed brown sandals from the brand – 20Dresses.

IMG_20180509_122326.jpg

OOTD: Chikan Kurti, Speciality of Lucknow

It’s a rainy day here in Pune. This was much much needed shower to calm down the humid weather.

Right now, it is drizzling outside. The smell of the mud and the cloudy dark weather making me miss my ‘comfort zone’, my bed so much. All I need is my bed, my cozy blanket, my laptop to watch my favorite series F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and a bowl of hot French fries with mayonnaise. Ahh bliss..!!!

In the evening, when the signs of the rain started to appear, I just stepped out to get clicked by my dear friend. Of course to upload pictures of my OOTD on blog hehe.

Today I am wearing this Chikan kurti, which I had bought from a shop in a flea market. I love shopping in flea markets and of course street shopping. Don’t you???

IMG_20180417_154844_Bokeh.jpg

The work Chikan means embroidery. This is one of the famous traditional textile decoration style from Lucknow. So the technique here is the white thread is embroidered on cool and pastel shades of light muslin and cotton garments.

Talking about the shade of this kurti, ahh many of my friends loved this kurti especially those, who love mangoes. hehe all thanks to it’s color. Even for me, it reminds me of mango flavored ice cream. That’s why I have named this one as Mango Kurti.

IMG_20180417_155336_Bokeh.jpg

Paired the kurti with white leggings to keep the color combination neutral.

For accessories,

Ears, I wore these dark yellow threaded earrings with red beads.

IMG_20180417_155055_Bokeh.jpg

As the sleeves are already 3/4th length, I avoided wearing any accessories on hands. Just to go with simple and sober look.

For footwear I wore this comfy gold toned flats from the brand Catwalk. Bought from the online store – Myntra.

IMG_20180417_154848_Bokeh.jpg

PS: Some of my friends at office, complimented and made me post the pictures of today’s outfit on blog. That’s really sweet of them. When my friends talk to me about my passion, my blog, I am the happiest gal you can find around. haha ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you too liked my simple outfit of the day.

If you are in Pune right now, happy rainy day…!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

OOTD: Angarakha Kurta

Hey,

One more OOTD post is here. Its again one of my favorite attire – Kurta and leggings.

But this kurta is something special. Not like it has any personal story of mine behind it. But because it has ancient history behind it.

It is a Angarakha Kurta from the brand Here&Now, bought from Myntra.

The word Angarakha means protect the body. So this particular pattern of garment was worn by men in ancient India to protect their body. You must have seen in old movies, men wearing such patterned upper garment. So this is basically an overlapping garment which is tied on the right or on left side of the shoulder. As it has tying with a knot facility, it was considered as most flexible and comfortable attire.

Well, it was a men’s wear in ancient India. But has entered wardrobes of women in modern India. Hehe.

This kurta is Angarakha patterned. I mean this is not exactly an overlapped and tied one. This is been stiched to look like Angarakha. Hehe.

The Navy blue kurta has this red and sky blue colored floral designs. The border of sleeves and kurta has this small design with off white color. The color combo is not loud it gives a calm look.

IMG_20180413_124753_Bokeh.jpg

The deep v neck, the three quarter sleeves and the knot you see makes this Angarakha Kurta.

I paired it with comfortable fabric – black leggings.

For accessories, I happened to have earrings which exactly matched with this attire. The two step hanging earrings is of navy blue and sky blue combination. This is one of my street shoppings.

For neck I skipped the accessory.

I wore these different colored metal Bangles on one hand, my favorite pearl watch from Titan Raga collection on the other.

Completed the look with my comfy black Footwear from the trusted brand, Bata.

Did you like this outfit??? ๐Ÿ˜Š

OOTD: Black is My Happy Color

Hey,

Yes, black is my happy color. Black is elegant, sophisticated, power, drama and mystery.

I know, I know, black is not so good for summers but pallazos are. As I have mentioned in most of my posts I love pallazos. It’s so flowy and comfortable. Plus, black pallazos can go with maximum tops or Kurtis.

I own two black pallazos (one, I had wore in this OOTD post) but recently when I had been to shop for one more pallazos, I opted for a floral one. Here it is.

It’s so flowy that, often people get confused it as a skirt.

This pallazos is from the brand AND, bought from Pantaloons. It’s ankle length one. Best part of this pallazos is the two pockets. Haha so helpful to carry lipsticks for those quick touchups. ๐Ÿ’‹

Thought of going monochrome so paired it with a black top. It’s a skin hugging warmer, from Jockey. Just to balance the look with the flowy pallazos.

Since it’s a plain top, I added charm with my favorite butterfly neckpiece.

Hoop earrings for ears.

Black finger ring is from Forever21. (Which you can see in the last picture)

Footwear from 20 Dresses. Flats doesn’t really go well with these kind of outfits and just wanted to match footwear with that of floral design of pallazos. Uff we girls and our matching game. Hehe

Did you like my Outfit Of The Day??? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Compliments do make me and any other girl Happy…. โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

If you wanna know many more ways to style pallazos, do check this post.

Hope you enjoy styling this comfy piece of clothe this summer.

OOTD : Every Outfit Has it’s Own Story

Hello Reader,

Now that the Sun is slowly going to the peak to shine his best and making us looking all sweaty, all we need is comfortable clothes to survive the summer.

I am not complaining about summer. I love summer. We all know how much we used to love ‘summers’ because we used to get 2 months holiday from schools. It was all about spending time with friends, visiting relatives places, cozying up in front of television while mom serves some delicious food to you. Ahhh we didn’t even cared to know what ‘calories’ and ‘fats’ are…!!!ย  How blissful those days were…!!!

What are the things come to your mind when you hear the word summer??? For me its bright sunny day, fresh air and dark colors.

Talking about comfortable clothing, you know which fabric is best suited for summers??? Cotton…!!! Yes you are right. Cotton clothes are chosen over any other fabric for the most comfort they provide during scotching heat.

IMG_20180323_120431_Bokeh.jpg

Hence to combine my favorite and comfort, I chose to buy this cotton maroon Kurta during my recent haul.

Why kurta?ย I love wearing Kurtas and Kurtis. Pairing them with leggings and especially palazzos make the day perfectly comfortable for me. I will post some of the palazzo outfits soon on blog.

About today’s OOTD.

Here are the details of the outfit.

I chose to pair this dark colored kurta with a white legging.

IMG_20180323_120356_Bokeh.jpg

Kurta:

It’s a long, Anarkali patterned kurta, from the brand HERE&NOW, bought online from Myntra.

As I said, the dark color made me pick this one. It has this black, red and white design on the upper half part of the dress. That makes it attractive.

The side button on the upper body and the long thread to tie it up, adds that fun portion.

Legging:

Even though I had an option to pair this with black one, I chose white legging. Because white adds that feminine and sophisticated look to an outfit.

Accessories:

Bangles:

You know how much I love accessories. I chose white metal Bangles. (I love the look they add and sound they make)

Earrings:

I had bought this earrings from a flea market in Pune. Each earring has a bunch of these tiny bells which you can ideally find in anklets. They are cute yet elegant.

Neck:

I chose to go with no accessories for neck.

Footwear:

You must be thinking I buy everything thing from Myntra. I can’t say everything but most of the things, yes.

This open-toed brown sandals is my new buy from the brand 20 dresses , bought online from Myntra. Since the kurta is quite long, I chose heels over flats.

Did you like my outfit??? Do let me know in the comments section.

I love getting clicked… I hope you love reading my OOTD posts too…!!! ๐Ÿคฉ

OOTD : Denim, White Top Teamed With Woolen Jacket

Hello,

How was your day??? It’s Monday… How will that be… I know….

To make Monday a bit barrable, I do two things… 1. Dress up 2. Shop

Today’s outfit is something like this.

A comfy office wear…

This white cotton top is from Mynta. It’s a long top. It reads – Today I Will Shine.
It has also this fairy printed on it. That’s Tinkerbell…!!! My favorite. Unlike sweet, delicate fairies, Tinkerbell is known for her creativity and strength. So I love her. BTW, I love Disney. In fact all the animated ones . We should not lose that innocence. Cartoons are that huge part of our childhood, which I will never let go.

As told in my last OOTD post, I love jackets and shrugs. This is the second most favorite of mine.

The maroon colored Woolen jacket is so comfy and ads that attractive color to any kind of plain shirts. This one I had bought it from one of the boutiques in Aundh, Pune.

Denim is from Mynta. By Roadster.

Paired it with nu*e pumps from Allen solley.

For accessories,
Wore hoop earrings and ear cuff from forever 21.

Hope you like this quick OOTD post .

OOTD : Black Kurti and Maroon Jacket Outfit

Hello,

This morning when I woke up, I felt it’s Friday… But when I checked the date with those sleepy eyes, ahhh it’s still Wednesday…!!! Mid week fever… Phewww

What do you do to pull yourself out of your bed and later your home to get going??? I do two things.

  1. I ask myself ” Pallavi, don’t you want to shop???” “Yes” .. “don’t you need money for that???” “Yes” … “Then keep going”. (I know it’s the same case for most of you)

  2. I play my favorite game – dress up…!!! Many people say, you are always dolled up. DAH…!!! I don’t wait for an occasion to dress up…

IMG_20180314_130247_Bokeh.jpg

So, here is the OOTD(Outfit Of The Day).

It’s a black kurti with a V neck. The border and the neck line has this dark red line with off white thread work.

Since black is my happy color, I matched it with a black legging. I love the comfort it gives.

IMG_20180314_130428_Bokeh.jpg

About the most asked jacket of mine.( I have a huge love for jackets. And this particular jacket has brought me highest compliments out of my collection. Apart from my friends and colleagues, even some ladies at the boutiques and shops asked me where did I buy this jacket from.)

PS: I’m not praising the jacket but many of them did. Promise

IMG_20180314_130322_Bokeh.jpg

So this is a sleeveless jacket. The shining maroon jacket has the cris cross patterned thread work. The golden and the maroon color combination gives it a rich look. The thread work is only on the front side. The plane back makes it a perfect balance.

So teamed up these three pieces of fabric to create this look.

Kurti – Globus

Jacket – Globus

You know how much I love earrings. This huge, off gold earrings are bought from a flea market.

I have fallen in love with ear cuffs these days….!!! The one I am wearing here is from Forever 21.ย  (You might have to zoom in the picture to have a look at them.)

IMG_20180314_130301_Bokeh.jpg

Earrings – Flea Market

I kept the accessories bit minimal. In fact I wore the earrings just to create the perfect look for the blog. I wore just diamond studs and diamond neck pendent for office. Because I don’t want to distract people. You know what I mean.

Neck piece – Ornate jewelry.

(The pendent may not be visible in the picture. Check here to see the dancing diamond pendent which I am wearing.)

Footwear- Bata

Hope you like the pictures as much as I loved posing for it…!!!

Makara Sankranti Outfit

Hello,

It’s time to say bye bye to shorter days and welcome longer days…!!!

Yes it is a festival time here in India…!!! Everyone celebrating – Makara Sankranti. This is festival with reference to God Sun. Scientifically, it is a festival which is celebrated as per solar cycle. The first day of Sun’s transit into Capricorn(Makara) has been marked as Makara Sankranti. It is usually celebrated on 14th of January.

India is known for its unity in diversity. Different people of different regions call this festival by different names. It is Makara Sankranti for Karnataka people, Pongal for Tamilians. Makara Sankranti is celebrated as Lohri by North Indians. Pedda Pandaga by people from Andra Pradesh and Magh Bihu by Assamese.

makar-sankranti-images-with-quotes

As a part of the celebration, people follow different rituals in different regions. Some people start their day by taking holy dip in river and worship God Sun. Some celebrate by flying kites. We, from Karnataka state celebrate by sharing sweets with each other. Don’t forget the tag line of this festival “Take Sweet, Talk Sweet and Be Sweet”. haha This is what we say while sharing sweets with others.

I am sure most of us have our own special memories related to this festival. Mine being, bugging mom to give me a girly , yet small box to carry sweets to school. Anddd don’t forget the small spoon which can fit in that small sweet box. Those days the tag line which I mentioned above was nothing less than a tongue twister, as we used to be in hurry to distribute sweets among each other. Those were the days…!!!!

Today is ‘traditional day’ at office as a part of Makara Sankranti celebration. Here is my Outfit for the day. This is the same dress which I had mentioned in this OOTD post. This is one of the two dresses which my mamma gifted me for last year’s birthday.

wp-1516003559542..jpg

This Anarkali suit is of light orange shade. The upper layer of net, has the golden and pearl embroidery work. Pearl embroidery is limited for only upper body. I loved the color combination of this dress. Gold and pearl combination always flatters me.

The boarder of the net layer has this floral embroidery. The threads used for this design are of color — green, yellow and red.

wp-1516011094936..jpg

Dupatta is of same shade as that of the dress and as you can see it is a netted one.

The pant for this dress even though not visible due to the length of the dress haha, is of lighter yellow color. Shade is similar to that of the yellow floral design on the border of the dress.

Along with the color combo, I love the fact that this dress is not that heavy. Carrying heavy dress whole day is something holds you back from make the most of the day. Agree???

For accessories, I kept it minimal for neck and hands. For hands, I opted for pearl bangles to go with the pearl embroidery.

As you know I love earrings, I have tried posing for photos with two different set of earrings. The first one being the golden and pearl jumkas. The second one is the golden hanging earrings.

All thanks to my beautiful colleague and friend Chaitali, who clicked these pictures for me.

Here are some of those random clicks.

Diwali Day 2 OOTD

Hello,

Today is second day of Diwali… Lakshmi pooja(worshipping the goddess of wealth)…

For today I chose to wear this dress of mine. It’s my mamma’s choice… โ˜บ๏ธ

A peach colored top and the best part is it has a nice designed cape or overcoat. The design is golden and peach colored flowers. That gives the actual look. The dress Also has a peach dupatta.

As per the accessories are concerned, I kept it minimal. I styled it with only peach colored ear rings… the overcoat has the high collare so skipping neck piece was easy.

This Year’s Birthday Outfitย

Hey,
We gals love playing dress up games, especially on our special days. Isn’t it??? So this what I wore on my birthday this year.
This outfit is a gift from my darling mom. She gifts me a beautiful outfit every year on my birthday. ย #touchwood

This is a long slit white top with gold colored embroidery work, paired with a long skirt. I loved this skirt more than the top. The fine design and the color combo, the red and gold just won my heart.

I had bought a red top which is kind of traditional one, few months back. I was in hunt for a perfect skirt for it. I was unable to find one which could match with the one which I had on my mind. This skirt is much prettier than what I had imagined for that top of mine.

In terms of accessories, I have wore this beautiful earrings/jumka I had bought from a local shop last year. It perfectly matched with the golden embroidery which is on the top.

For neck, I’m keeping it b*re.

You can check my Instagram picture for the makeup details.

PS: The weather was cloudy. So the pictures are not bright enough .

Outfit Of The Day

Hey,

Hindu people are celebrating Navaratri in India. Nava stands for nine and ratri means night. Nine nights we celebrate nine different goddesses. Which are believed to be different forms of goddess Durga. So we represent or have dedicated a color to each goddess.

Today, the color was white. So I opted for a white kurti with black embroidery and black jeans to match the design.

To get that festive feel, I chose to wear these black and white earrings which I bought recently. It perfectly matched with the color of my outfit. As per the makeup is concerned I love to keep it minimal.

Here are the list of products used.

Face : Revlon colorstay foundation

Eyes : Maybelline Eyeliner on both eyelids and on waterline(my best friend since last 5 years) ย ๐Ÿ˜˜

Lips : The Body Shop Color Crush Shine Lipstick

Cheek : single stroke of Kylie Blush Hopless Romantic

I enjoyed mix and match of kurti jeans and these huge earrings. Did you like my OOTD (Outfit Of The Day)??? ๐Ÿ˜‰
