Review of Hibiscus Gel By Puremie

Since the lockdown, most of us are spending time and money on skin care than any makeup product. For taking care of skin, homemade DIY stuffs are something that is keeping us occupied and skincare game interesting.!

Last year while browsing through Instagram, I came across this brand called Puremie. This brand offers clean and raw DIY stuffs that can be used in our skin care or hair care DIYs.

I have bought some of their gels and masking materials. Today reviewing one of those products.

They have 5 different gels that are their best sellers. Bought Aloe Vera Gel and Hibiscus gel out of those 5. Here is the detailed review of Hibiscus gel.

Whole ingredient list is displayed. There are couple of chemicals in it but I have found out that these are used in skin care products and they are safe to be used.

Packing:

It comes in a glass jar packing. Transparent packing makes it easier to keep an eye on the product inside the jar.

All the details are printed on the sticker.

Screw lid is convenient to use.

Mygirlypedia.com

Color:

It looks like fire. Isn’t it?

Mygirlypedia.com

Fragrance:

Fresh fragrance with aqua based note. Not at all strong.

Consistency:

Non sticky, non greasy formula.

My experience:

I used it directly on my hair and face. Application is easy. It is not at all messy. Once applied, doesn’t feel heavy. Washing it off was also easy. I didn’t have to wash it multiple times to clean it fully. One wash was enough. That’s something cool especially if you have long hair. Post using it, it made my hair super soft and silky. Best thing is it reduces scalp’s oiliness.

For skin, it moisturised my skin. Did not cause any breakouts.

Mygirlypedia.com

Pros:

  1. Eco friendly packing.
  2. Non greasy formula.
  3. Doesn’t feel heavy.
  4. Ingredient list is safe.
  5. Makes hair soft and silky.
  6. Reduces scalp oiliness.
  7. Moisturises skin.

Cons:

  1. Jar packing is not hygienic. Since it is a DIY product, workaround would be to transfer the gel in the required quantity to other container/ plate to use.!

Mygirlypedia Rating: 4.9/5

Final Verdict:

This jar is my third purchase. With the price, quantity and most importantly, the results are enough to buy this jar again and again.

Even though it is a chemical free product, I would suggest you to try out patch test first before using it on entire face. Because some are allergic to natural ingredients.

Packing:
Hexagonal Outer Carton looks like this.

It has these rose prints on it. Blue & red combo looks pretty. It also has all the details about the
product mentioned on it.

Oval shaped sturdy plastic Container contains the actual product.

Name of product and quantity are mentioned on the bottom of it. Gold lid & transparent jar looks Cute. Brand name is printed on lid.

Best part about the packing is it come with a mirror. How cool is that..!! It is pretty compact hence can be carried around easily.

Colour: Pretty Coral coloured balm looks so pretty.

Fragrance: It has strong smell of Gulkhand.

Texture: Light weight texture. Doesn’t feel heavy on lips.

My Experience: To begin with, I have very dry lips. That need lot of hydration. Since I loved some products from this brand in the past, I had lot of expectations from this one.

Let me start with the fragrance first. This aroma of Gulkhand stays for a while post application.Plus, I am not a fan of Gulkhand smell. So the smell is very bothering.

It is light weight on lips. Doesn’t add any tint.

Talking about prime purpose of a lip balm, unfortunately it did not help my dry lips. Did not add the amount of hydration my lips need. I tried it in both day time & night time but no much use for me!

Pros:
1. Travel friendly packing.
2. Classy packing makes it a good collectible.
3. Light weight formula glides easily.
4. Doesn’t add tint. Can be worn before applying lipstick.
5. Cruelty free
6. Recyclable.

Cons:
1. Fragrance in bothering if you are not a fan of Gulkhand.
2. Doesn’t help extreme dry lips.
3. For the quantity & the job it did, I found it pricey.
4. Only key ingredients list is mentioned not the entire list.

Mygirlypedia rating: 1/5.

1 for the packing which I will refill with my favourite lip balm.

Mygirlypedia Note:
1. If you are someone who love collecting lip care products, lip balm with a mirror would make a great collectible.
2. If you have normal lips which doesn’t require extra hydration plus if you have the budget you can go for it. If you have dry lips please skip it.
3. Also think about the Gulkhand fragrance before spending your precious money on this one!

Hope this review helps!

Forest Essentials Tejasvi Brightening Emulsion Review and Swatches

Hello Beautiful,

Skin covers your entire body. If you invest in your skin, it is going to represent you..!

Being a skin care enthusiast, I love trying out new skin care products. Products that say Ayurvedic or natural, I am sold for it.! One of such brands that is on my favourite list is Forest Essentials – Luxurious Ayurveda..! (See, Ayurveda..!)

While I have tried good number of skin care products from their range, many have worked out and some haven’t. Today I am reviewing one of those products from the brand. Keep reading to know whether it worked for me or not.!

Brand : Forest Essentials.

Price : 2175 INR for 30 g or 1.05 oz.

Shelf Life : 23 Months.

Is This Cruelty Free? Yes

Is This Recyclable? Yes

Ingredients / What Does Company Claims? / How to Use :

Please note that the ingredients list is not mentioned here. Mentioned here is the composition/ major ingredients.!

Packing : Brand’s tag line itself says ‘ Luxurious Ayurveda’, packing stands quite true to it.

The outer carton is made of hard cardboard. The glossy finished, gold design gives that luxurious look. As you can see the brand logo is printed on the carton along with couple of traditional dancing ladies. The flower print adds the charm to this design. All the details about the product, usage are printed on the bottom side of this same carton.

Product comes in dark and sturdy glass bottle. I must say, no matter how fancier the plastic packing may be, but a glass packing is the classier one.! Gold lid with brown glass combo looks classy. Glass is in deed sturdy. As a clumsy person, I have tested it by dropping it couple of times.!

Colour : Somewhere between maroon and brown.

Fragrance : It has a strong fragrance of ghee and something sort of sweet note. Even though the fragrance is noticeable, it fades after application. As the fragrance is not over empowering, it should be ok for sensitive nose I believe.

Consistency : Balm like consistency.

Swatches :

My Experience :

I have dry skin that needs extra hydration. I thought of buying this particular product for its description and the base ingredient of it – Ghee. Ghee is very useful when it comes to treating dry skin. I used the product just like the way it is mentioned on the packing.

As soon as you open the jar, first thing you notice is its fragrance. I kinda liked the fragrance. It did not bother me at all. Consistency is perfect for facial massage. It’s a balm consistency. Neither runny nor sticky.

Thing I loved the most is that it did what it claimed. It added the moisture. My skin was visibly hydrated and plump.

Even though the product name says its emulsion, it is a balm. It is quite thick and heavy. That’s why even though I have dry skin, I prefer using it twice a week, not more than that. If you have oily or sensitive skin, I would suggest you to skip this.

Pros :

  1. Does what it claims. Adds good amount of hydration. Leaves skin soft and plump.
  2. Balm consistency is perfect for good facial massage.
  3. Sturdy packing.
  4. Little goes long way. Single jar is going to last for months.
  5. Did not break my skin.
  6. It is cruelty free. No animal was harmed in the process of making this product.
  7. Product is recyclable.

Cons :

  1. Tub packing is not hygienic as we have to make sure our fingers are super clean before taking out the product. Else, we are just transferring bacteria into the jar.!
  2. Some might find it pricy. (Quantity required is less for each use and as it did what it claimed, I am not complaining about the price.)
  3. Whole ingredients list is not mentioned.

Mygirlypedia Rating : 4.5/5

Mygirlypedia Note: If you have dry skin and need of good moisturising product, plus if you have budget, you must give this a try. If you have oily or sensitive skin, this balm might be heavier on your skin. Which in turn might cause breakouts. I would suggest you to give a patch test or completely skip this product.

L’Oreal Paris Superliner Black Lacquer : Review and Video

Hello Darlings,

I am feeling fresh and happy as I had been to a much needed vacation to Himachal Pradesh. The snow covered mountains, cool breeze, the great company cleansed my soul.

In this post, I am going to review a product which I used during my holiday. That’s one of the products I can’t just live without – eyeliner.

This eyeliner is a free gift with a magazine I had subscribed for. Let’s see how this eyeliner worked/not worked for me.

Brand :
L’Oreal Paris

Product name :
L’Oreal Paris Superliner Black Lacquer

Price :
600 INR for 6 ml

Shopping Link

Shelf life :
2 years. 6 months, once opened

Colour :

Black

What Company has to Say About the Product:

L’Oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer Liquid Eye Liner has a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease and dries without smudging. Ophthalmologically tested.
Benefits:
Precision Waterproof Eyeliner route.
Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Pen accuracy: Net and fast track ultra.

Packing:
It comes in a sturdy plastic tube packing. Golden fonts on a jet black tube makes it slightly attractive. Tube is quite thin so makes it perfect to carry it around. Also the cap is quite tight that makes not to worry about any spillage.

Applicator:
As the company says, it is a sponge tipped pen applicator. It is thin enough to draw fine lines.

Colour:
It is a deep black colour.

Fragrance:
Yep this liquid eyeliner has a pungent smell. But it fades away very quickly.

Finish:
It gives a glossy finish when applied. But once settles, t’s more of matte finish.

Drying Time:
Unlike many other liquid eyeliner I have used, this one dries off really quick when applied.

How Does it Feel On Eyelids?
One thing that made upset about this liner is that it is too sticky. Once it settles, it becomes so sticky and makes eyelids stiff. I had hard time opening my eyes completely. It was like something was pulling my eyelids.

Does this smudge?
Yes it did..!! Usually the liquid eyeliners don’t smudge, they get flaky and fall off. But somehow this one smudged. Trust me I had hard time to fix it.

PS : I had applied this eyeliner on a hot day where I was in hot sun for most of the time. So I am assuming that it melted and created unwanted panda look..!!!

Waterproof?
No..! It can be easily removed with just water.

Things I Liked:

  • Travel friendly packing.
  • Applicator is nice and good to draw fine lines.
  • Deep black colour looks nice.
  • Dries really quick.

Things I Didn’t Like:

  • It feels very sticky on lids. This makes it very uncomfortable to wear.
  • Not waterproof
  • It smudged.
  • Ingredient list is not mentioned.
  • Some might find it pricey.

Is This On My Repurchase List?
No.

Will I recommend?
I have tried and loved different eyeliners from L’Oreal Paris. But for the fact that I was not comfortable wearing this particular eyeliner, I don’t think I will recommend this to anyone.

Mygirlypedia Rating: 1/5

Here is the demo 😁 Where I have tested the product for smudge proof and waterproof claims.

I Tried Couple of Nykaa Hand & Nail Crèmes and This is What All I Have to Say About Them

When we meet and greet someone, we usually say hello by waving or shaking hands. Hence there is high chance that your hands not go unnoticed. Taking care of them should be in the list for this prime reason.

Hand cream is something my handbag essentials for a very long time. All thanks to my dry hands. Huuh.

A month ago I bought these hand creams from Nykaa. Nykaa has come up with their own line of cosmetics and skin care. There are seven different varients in this range. Out of which I chose two of my favorites.

IMG_20180814_165201.jpg
Mygirlypedia

Let’s see how it worked or not worked for me.

PS: this post is not sponsered by Nykaa.

Flavors I chose:

  • Peony & White Lily
  • Freesia & Vanilla

What company claims:

Peony & White Lily

Flirtatious Peonies mingle with the regal White Lilies to give sweep you to a mystical dreamland with its exquisite fragrance. Peony brings dollops of freshness, while noble White Lilies leave your hands wrapped in sweet, romantic scent.

Freesia & Vanilla

Dive into the sensuous, gourmet scent of intense vanilla wrapped in a fresh bouquet of hand-plucked Freesia. The free-spirited freshness of Freesia is mellowed down with the ever-so-sweet Vanilla, offering you a blend that give your hands a warm, fresh hug.

IMG_20180926_173830.jpg
Mygirlypedia

Packing:

These are quite tiny tubes. Plus, the lid is quite tight. So no worries about need for large space in your handbag or any spillage.

Each flavor has different outer packing or this tube. In one word, it’s girly. Each varient can be differentiated by it’s cool floral prints on the tube.

As you can see, the Freesia has this yellow floral print and peony has this beautiful red floral print.

Have a look at all the variants here.

Price:

275 INR each for 30 ml.

Shelf life:

35 months.

Once opened, best before:

24 months

My take:

As and when you open this tubes of nail and hand cream, one thing you just can’t ignore is their amazing fragrance. Trust me it’s so yummy that you feel like eating it. But yes they are not edible so you have to drop that idea, for good.

At first, it might seem over empowering. But the fragrance faints as soon as you wipe it against your hands.

Peony & White Lily smells like a mild flower. Very soothing one.

Freesia & Vanilla is my personal favorite. It smells exactly like one of the Victoria secret mists. A very sweet coconut fragrance with a hint of Vanilla. Smells delicious.

IMG_20180926_173924.jpg

Consistency:

Off-white cream, neither runny nor sticky. Non greasy and non oily.

Miniaturization:

Main business. Is it serving it’s major purpose? The Freesia and vanilla has such a beautiful aroma that my baby sister also bought it. My hands are way more dry than hers.

It didn’t really work for my extremely dry hands. I could still feel the need of hydration even after applying these creams.

IMG_20180926_173839.jpg

But it did work for my sister. She has normal to dry hands. She could feel her hands more soft than before.

Things I loved:

  • Cruelty free.
  • Paraben free.
  • Easily available online.
  • Fragrance is amazing.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Attractive packing.
  • Tube packing is hygienic as compared to tub one.
  • Works for normal to dry hands.

Things Which can be Improved:

  • I find it slightly more pricier. Because I know some hand creams which we get more quantity for almost same amount. Plus, which works well on dry hands.
  • Fragrance fades as we apply the cream. I find it a con because the fragrance is good and I was expecting it to last a bit longer.
  • Didn’t work on extremely dry hands.
  • Girls with sensitive nose might find the fragrance over empowering.

Will I repurchase?

No. I didn’t find it worth the price as it didn’t work on my hands.

Will I recommend?

If you have normal to dry hands and love amazing fragrance, you can give a try.

This is What I Want to Say About Nykaa Matte to Last Range

You guys anyways know, I have this hobby( that’s the coolest or fancy word I chose to replace the word obsession) of buying all kind of lipsticks. Added a new member to my collection is this beautiful liquid lipstick from the brand Nykaa.

Nykaa is one of the online stores for cosmetics and accessories. Along with selling different cosmetics, they have started their own cosmetic line, with the same name. Highlighter, nail care, foundation, concealers and of course lip products to mention few.

IMG_20180724_132615_Bokeh.jpg

The range of liquid lipstick I am talking about is with the name Nykaa matte to last. As the name suggests it’s a matte finish lipstick. This means zero glossy effect.

Most attractive thing about these lipsticks are their unique names, inspired by some of the cities of India. Which are unique and special in their own way. There are 18 different shades, all with some attractive names. Dilli, Bombae, IT girl( Bengaluru), Mastani (Pune), Madras Kaafi (Chennai) etc. Aren’t they super cute???

Let’s talk about the shade I bought. It’s the shade Gul. Inspired by the hilly regions of India.

Total shades available:

18

Screenshot_20180802-082023__01.jpg

Shade I Chose :

Gul (Pinkish shade). Perfect for day wear.

IMG_20180802_175246_Bokeh.jpg

Price :

550 INR for 5 ml (You can buy it from here.)

Shelf life :

3 years

What company claims and the Ingredients :

IMG_20180802_175442.jpg

Packing:

This packing reminds me of that of Huda beauty liquid lipsticks. A sliding, tiny case is just as cute as a button.

Outer cartoon has the similar shade as that of the lipstick inside. This makes the recognition easier.

Each packing has unique design on these cute outer cartoons. Particularly some unique monuments or things that symbolises the name of the city the particular lipstick is representing. For ex : Gul has these beautiful hilly region design, The shade Mastani has the beautiful Shaniwar wada(Her palace) design on it.

IMG_20180802_175319_Bokeh.jpg

The product comes inside this tiny plastic packing. The rectangular shaped container is quite sturdy and the lid is quite tight. Which makes it a good travel companion.

The plastic case is transparent and has the brand name printed on it in my favorite color – black. Thus you can keep an eye on the remaining quantity of the product.

On bottom of the case, is the sticker which has the number and name of the shade. Thus making it easier for you to pick the particular shade from your collection.

Applicator:

Its doe feet applicator. Soft and easy to use.

IMG_20180802_175507.jpg

Tint :

It is a pinkish shade. As you can see in the picture below. This is how it looks in day light. Even if you are a beginner and not so comfortable with lipsticks, you can still carry this shade. Looks very natural and light.

IMG_20180724_132720_Bokeh.jpg

Color payoff :

I loved the color payoff. One swipe, you are done. The pictures you are seeing here, I have applied just a single layer of the lipstick on my lips.

Staying Power:

Ahhh I am just amazed by its staying power. PS: I am not paid by Nykaa for this review. haha. If you are a lipstick lover, you know the pain of touch ups. If you are also lazy enough for touch ups, join me to know further.

I had saved this lipstick for one of my office parties. I had applied it on my lips at around 10:30 in the morning and when I went to wash my face before dozing off, the tint was still there…!!! It did fade. It wasn’t as intense as it was at the time of application (of course). But the tint was still there even after good amount of time. #Impressed

IMG_20180802_175420.jpg

Did it bleed?

While the lipstick was on, I had great food. While we were having food I was bit conscious whether the lipstick bleeds. Which can make me look like a vampire. haha. But for my goodness it didn’t bleed post having food. It did transfer though, to my water bottle, the juice glass and spoons.

Did it dry my lips?

The finish is matte. Most of us have the insecurities as the matte finish might highlight  the dry patches on lips. But this liquid lipstick has impressed me. After Huda beauty, I would love top recommend this matte lipstick to my girlies. It doesn’t really dry your lips. I did felt a little dryness in the beginning. But once it settled, the finish was matte and didn’t highlight any dry lines on my lips.

IMG_20180724_132751_Bokeh.jpg

Does the product stands for what it claims???

  • Superior matte finish – Yes
  • All day long – Yes quite a good time.
  • Transfer proof – Not really. It did transfer even after it was completely dried.

What I loved:

  • Comfortable matte finish.
  • Lasting power is impressive. No touch ups required.
  • Travel friendly packing.
  • No preservative.
  • Cruelty free.
  • No paraben.
  • Does not burn your pockets.

Will I repurchase???

Yes. I am going to purchase the shade Bombae. Very soon…!!!

Will I recommend???

Of course. In fact, I have already done that. Umm rather, the shade has already sold itself. My colleagues were awed by the shade I had wore for the party. I was so impressed at the end of the day, I did recommend this range to those who were interested to add a beauty to their collection of lip products.

Mygirlypedia Rating : 4.5/5 ( It did transfer a bit so deducting 0.5 )

If you want to try liquid lipstick, without making hole in your pockets and want a non drying formula – give it a try.

Don’t forget to let me know how you find this range. 🙂

This is What I Have to Say About Sunny Leone’s Liquid Lip Color

Helloo,

Sunny Leone – A woman who doesn’t really need an introduction. Half of the world, I mean half of the men in the world worship her beauty and women are either jealous of her beauty or appreciate her beauty and courage to start life all over again. Between, now she is not only a Bollywood film star, also a proud mommy of three kids…

Well, I am impressed by her for two reasons.

One – It takes hell lot of courage to come out of such industry and start a new life. That too in a country like India where everyone is good at nothing but judging people.

Two – Even after being one of those ad*lt star, she has preserved her innocence. I have seen couple of her reality shows on television. She is so cute and inspiring. The way she inspires people by her words is amazing.

Last year she started with her clothing line and perfume line. Recently started with her makeup line.

IMG_20180322_184638.jpg

It includes only my favorite cosmetics – Lip products. Yeahhhh…. !!! I was anyways impressed by her lip makeup in the reality show – Splitsvilla.

Lip products are – lip liner, Lipstick and lip gloss.

Being one of crazy lip product fan, bought lip gloss on Monday evening.  Just to wash away those nasty Monday blues. Received it on Wednesday. Quite impressed by the speed delivery.

Name :

Star Struck By Sunny Leone

Available Shades:

There are five shades of lip liner, lipsticks available. Below are the shades.

Shade I Bought:

Baby Doll

IMG_20180322_184622.jpg

Price:

799 INR

Ingredients:

IMG_20180322_184615.jpg

Packing:

The outer cartoon is of color combo – black and silver. Ingredients, price details are printed on it along with name.

The lip color comes in a typical plastic tube pack, with an dove feet applicator. The plastic used is sturdy and transparent. So you can identify the shade easily.

But I am not really impressed with the packing. The opening of the plastic tube is not tight enough(at least the one I have received.)

IMG_20180322_142407.jpg

Due to which it has become so messy…!!! This opening is typically for closing the cap tight and removing the extra product from the applicator wand. Look how messy it looks in the picture.

IMG_20180322_142457.jpg

Hence, I cant say it is travel friendly as there is leakage of product from the pack

Shelf Life:

3 years

Fragrance:

Smells like butterscotch candy. Fragrance is similar to that of Kylie glosses.

Texture:

It is soft. Glides easily.

IMG_20180322_143133.jpg
My ‘Pouting’ Skills Aren’t Up to the Mark…

Color:

It’s a peach shade. Can be carried by anyone without being conscious about the shade.

Color Payoff:

It is good not best. Single swipe is not enough for pigmented lips like mine. You need at least couple of layers to get that full coverage.

Is it Moisturizing?

Yes. It doesn’t dry my lips.

Does it Transfers?

Yes. It did transfer a bit.

Staying Power:

It stayed on lips for an hour approx.. Post that the glossiness was gone and a faded tint was left on my lips. Overall it stayed on my lips for 2.5 hours approx. (I had actually noted down the timings this time.) It’s very less I know. Because I have glosses and liquid colors from other brands which stayed on my lips more than 5-6 hours.

Pros:

  • Availability
  • Didn’t dry my lips.
  • Nice shade.
  • Sweet, mild fragrance.

Cons:

  • Not a travel friendly packing. (at least the one I received is not.)
  • Staying power is less.
  • Contains paraben.

Will I repurchase???

No. I didn’t find it worth the money.

Will I recommend???

No. I have plenty other from my list which I would love to recommend. But not this one.

Mygirlypedia Rating: 1.5/5

Best Lipsticks for Beginners…!!!

Hey,

Now that you have been following my world – Mygirlypedia, you know how much I love lipsticks. My collection of lipsticks which I had revealed some time back is the proof for it.

Many of you been asking which is one brand of lipstick that I would suggest for a beginner, who is taking baby steps into the magical world of makeup. When I say beginner, I mean to say the one who wants to apply lipsticks but not sure whether she will be able to carry it or not. Thus she is not willing to spend more on a lipstick which she might not use in long run.

So, only best and a budget friendly brand I can come up with is, Elle 18.

I have multiple lipsticks from this brand. Mostly reds, pinks and peach. I am gonna swatch them for you in this post. Check out why I love this brand so much.

Brand:

Elle 18

Range:

Color Pops

Between there are multiple ranges available in this brand’s lipsticks. There are matte and other finishing. But I love this range more.

What Product Claims:

Dual core lipstick format.

Extra moisturizing with cocoa butter and jojoba oil.

Creamy smooth and soft texture.

Vibrant Shades.

Rich color pay off.

Intense look.

Attractive pop Colors.

Shades Available:

There are 19 shades available. Yes nineteen varieties of colors to choose from. Wanna know the shades??? Check them out here.

Shade I own:

DSCN0096
MYGIRLYPEDIA.COM

Pretty Peach (Shade number 43):

This is a light peach colored lipstick. Definitely my favorite among all other Elle 18 lipsticks I own. It looks so natural on lips, looks super feminine.

If you are hesitant  to try out reds or pinks, this is definitely the one for you. You will feel comfortable enough to carry this on daily basis to work place or to colleges as well.

Pinken (Shade Number 31):

This shade is a mixture of pink and red. If you love red lipsticks but not so confident enough, go for this one.

Rosy Blush (Shade Number 27):

This is a cherry red shade. Always dream of or at least thought of trying out a red shade on your lips??? Try this. You just have to spend 100 INR to fulfill that thought of yours.

Price:

100 INR for 4.3 ml. I told you it is budget friendly..!!!

Shelf Life:

30 Months

Packing:

It comes in a small and cute black lipstick bullet, with the brand name written in Pink. A cartoon sketch of a gothic look(at least I find her gothic) gal is something which we can’t miss. Cute because they are not like other lipstick bullets which are lean or narrow. These are a kind of chubby. Look at them.

They are tiny and perfect to carry around in your purse or hand bags. Thus they can be a good travel companion.

DSCN0086
MYGIRLYPEDIA.COM

You might be thinking they all look alike in terms of packing. How to differentiate the shade without opening them??? Well, there is a sticker at the bottom with the shade name and number written on it. Which makes easy to pick the particular shade.

Texture:

These cuties are buttery soft. Glides really well.

Finish:

A smooth and shiny finish.

Fragrance:

They smell like bubble gums. Yes they do. haha

Are these Moisturizing???

Yesss. If you can see there are two layers. Outer colored layer and inner colorless layer which seems to be the cocoa butter and jojoba oil. Umm inner layer was colourless when they were new. Now they look like that of their outer shade, for obvious reasons.

Are they transfer proof???

Umm. No. They do transfer. But it will be mean if we start expecting so much by paying so less. I mean no matter what lipstick you choose, there is still chance that do transfer. These tiny little things are not any exception. Hence not a con for me.

Staying Power:

The shiny finish slowly fades as and when you eat or drink food. The tint still remains for good amount of 5 to 6 hours. Not bad huun.

Why These are Good???

  • Budget Friendly.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Shiny finish.
  • Travel friendly packing.
  • Smells good. haha
  • Good staying power, at least for the price we are paying.

What could have been better???

Transfer proof. But as I said not a con for me.

This Eyeliner With Smudger from L’Oréal Paris – Great Pick or Not…!!!

Hey,

You know there are advantages of being a shopaholic… 😉 By spending more than 5k per year on Nykaa, I have become a Prive member. I love the queen tiara icon we get against our name in Nykaa account. It’s like we are being crowned as a shopaholic queen. 👸

So, perks of being a member is, we get different discount coupons. A birthday gift on our birthdays. I might have missed mentioning this, but I had received a beautiful makeup bag last year on my birthday, from Nykaa.

Since I have 6 coupons for free shipments which are valid till this month end, the shopping Addict gal inside me thought of making most of it. Hence ordered items below 500( Amount eligible for free shipping) separately. Mostly I have ordered my favorite makeup i.e. Eye makeup products.

Today I’m gonna review one of those products. Eyeliner from L’Oreal Paris.

What made me choose this one??? It has smudger with it. Which we can use to smudge the kajal or eye liner to get Smokey looks.

Let’s see whether I liked it or not…

Brand:

L’Oreal Paris

Name:

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smoky Eyeliner

Price:

650 INR ( I got it for 480 something, after discount) for 1.2 g.

Shelf life:

28 months.

What Company Claims:

Packing:

It comes in a typical eye pencil packing. Color combination of the pencil being black and gold, it does look attractive. What makes it different is it is dual sided. One side the kajal and the other side is smudge brush or smudger.

Both sides have tight lids or caps, which are transparent. This makes it easy to differentiate between the kajal and smudger without having to open the caps to check.

Shades Available :

There are six shades available in this range.

  • Black Velour 201 (Black)
  • Mystic Grey 202 ( Dark Grey)
  • Brown Fusion 204 (Brown)
  • Stormy Sea 207 (Teal Green)
  • Antique Green 209 (Green)
  • Purple Dream 211 (Purple)

Shade I Picked:

Mystic Grey 202 – It’s a dark Grey. Falls towards black shade.

First stripe is without using a smudger. Second with couple of strokes of smudger.

Texture:

Creamy soft. Glides softly. Finishing is a matte finish one.

Smudger:

It is made up of soft rubber. A dome shaped smudger helps in smudging the kajal on waterline and eyeliner over the eyelids. Since this is soft, it glides along the waterline easily and does the job fairly well. Hence it saves your money in terms of buying a separate smudger brush.

My Take:

After looking at the reviews on Nykka, written by the customers who had bought this before, I finalized this one. It had worked on them. At least they have said it did. But it’s not the case with me.

As I said, it’s creamy thus making it easy to apply. The smudger is soft yet efficient. But, what turns me down is its staying power. It smudges very fast and looks bad. There is no way I could keep it smudge free.

If the eye product bleeds or smudges I don’t think it stands any chance to be a good product.

Good thing is the smudger. This works well. You can use this brush to smudge any other kajal or kohl, which you want to play with in order to create Smokey eye looks.

Things I liked About L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smoky Eyeliner:

  • Packing is travel friendly.
  • Smudger is quite useful.
  • Creamy texture.
  • As company claims, removal of this product from eyes is easy.

Things I Didn’t like About L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smoky Eyeliner:

  • Pricey.
  • Smudges a lot.
  • Claim of ‘long lasting’ is not true. Staying power is very less.
  • Retractable pencil would be more useful as the sharpening pencil results in wastage of product.

Will I Repurchase??

No. It didn’t work for me. Hence a bigg No. Instead of spending this much, I will buy some other eye products I know which cost less and does amazing job.

Will I Recommend??

Umm not really. On the basis of my experience, no.

Is Moisturizing?

It does moisturize hands pretty well. I had applied this before going to bed. My hands were pretty soft in the morning. But, nothing works best for me like that of fab India one. My love

It might not work so well for the beauties with extra dry hands.sob

I had ordered this hand cream online. You can buy this here

Let me sum up in terms of Pros and cons:

Pros of Beauty Formulas Cranberry moisturizing hand cream:

  1. Travel friendly packing.
  2. Little goes long way.
  3. Affordable.
  4. Moisturizing.
  5. Doesn’t contain parabens. *angel smile*
  6. Hygienic tube packing.

Cons of Beauty Formulas Cranberry moisturizing hand cream:

  1. Not suitable for extra dry hands.
  2. Fragrance might be over empowering for girls with sensitive nose. (I have a headache today. *sob* this hand cream is contributing a lot to make it worse. *haha*)
  3. Doesn’t lightens the skin like that of Fab India hand cream.

Will I repurchase/recommend this??

No, not this one again. I didn’t like the fragrance at all. Would like to try different flavors though.

If you are a girl with normal to dry hand, you can try this for a change. But extra dry hands beauties, this is not worth the buy for you.
